Death on the Nile - Deathly Boring

Advantages: Used up a couple of hours on an otherwise dull Sunday
Disadvantages: Nothing challenging about it

I've played a few of Agatha Christie's puzzle games, one of which involved Hercule Poirot and I really enjoyed them. This one however I found dreadfully poor and I'm not really sure what the creators were thinking of when they dreamt it up. Overview You take on the role of Poirot who must investigate a murder on board a cruise ship sailing up the Nile. Features * 14 suspects to interrogate * 12 investigation levels * 24 rooms with hidden clues * Mini games System Requirements * Windows 98 or above * 600MHz CPU * 128 RAM * 57MB Free Disk Space * Direct X 6 or above My Thoughts With all the other puzzle games I've played there's also been a bit of video play to go with them. The Blue Nile's Zenith...

Advantages: It's real music
Disadvantages: None

The song begins with an opening refrain on a keyboard and if you listen really closely you can hear Paul counting 2, 3, 4 and the tapping of his foot on the floor of the recording studio (a trick used by John Lee Hooker on his recordings) and the strumming of an acoustic guitar the vocals begin with the lines “Now that I’ve found Peace at Last, tell me ...

Nile Cruise another perspective

Advantages: History and having a Thomson rep at all times
Disadvantages: too short

I went on a Nile Cruise with Thomson. It was a five star boat part of the Presidential line called the Nile Commodore. In the brochure the details included all excusions which were packed into the 7 days, I thought oh yea dragged around from tomb to tomb but it was booked so off we went. We arrived to a wonderful friendly greeting. Thomson had a rep on board who came everywhere with us and was always around to help. Not a pretty young thing with fluttering eyelashes but a more mature young woman who was well respected by all the crew. The boat was fantastic wood panelling everywhere and whenever you say members of the crew they greeted you warmly. Our 2 cabin boys met us and introduced themselves and evry morning and night we went in to a spotless room with the beds made in the morning or turned down at night. 4 Egyptian ...
