Now there a small family of little Nimble breads. We all know the white. Now we have Daily So Low, Wholemeal and my new find, Amazing Grain.

On the package it ... ...The slices themselves are typical Nimble in that they are light in weight and break up if you try to put frozen spread on them. I use Flora so there is no such problem. The smell is typical of wholemeal and you can smell the goodness in it.
"What about the taste you ask?" Well taste is always subjective and I can best describe it as slightly malt with a nutty tang. It has that melt in the mouth texture as the normal Nimble ... more
This will not be a long review because what can you waffle on for 1000 words on bread about?
I enjoy wholegrain and granary bread but find that in my local Asda it is only stocked in large family sized loaves. As I live alone (I can hear you all sobbing now) I find that 2/3 of the loaf is stale and inedible after 3 days. I can hear you now saying "put it in the freezer. Good idea but I only have a limited amount of space. I also find frozen is only good for toasting. White is best for that. Not fond of toasted brown bread.
My dilemma seems to be ended now as I have found a small pack of wholemeal/granary bread that is brand new. We have all heard of Nimble bread and I dare say most of you ladies have tried it. Once it was only plain old white low calorie/ fat dieting loaves. No more.

The package is pink with the wording of the logo, Nimble in black and Amazing Grain in upper case white. On the package it also states in black in little yellow circles that there are only 53 cals, 9.8 carb and 0.4 grams of fat. Also there is a picture of a sandwich of some type.

"What about the taste you ask?" Well taste is always subjective and I can best describe it as slightly malt with a nutty tang. It has that melt in the mouth texture as the normal Nimble does. There are chewy bits and these are the malted wheat flakes in the bread. Hence Amazing Grain.
So there you go. A new bread suitable for those of you that like low carb and fat or low calorie. There is one small problem though. It is only available at the moment in Asda. I am sure it will appear on the shelves of your favourite supermarket soon. I purchased mine for 54p in Asda of cause. Now I don't have to throw loads of bread away or give it to the ducks.
