I've been looking for a new perfume for ages now, and decided to stop being so fussy! My sister was going shopping anyway, so I gave her £30 and told her to come back with a new perfume for me. She came back with L'Air Du Temps by Nina Ricci. It's French, but I don't know what it means. Temps means.. day? Temps en temps is from time to time, temps means time, but it doesn't make sense, so day? Oh I'm not even going to bother trying to translate it - it's the Easter holidays and my brain's turned to mush! The picture illustrating this perfume isn't the same as mine. Mine is in an glass bottle, shaped like the bottom half of an hour-glass. It has an embossed picture of two doves on the front of it, and a frosted curved lid. Review of Nina Ricci L'Air De Temp

An unusual fragrance from Ricci.

Advantages: After a while the lighter notes shine through.
Disadvantages: Initially it smelled musky ( on my skin )

. When I used the tester in the store the sweet light fragrance came over as soft and playful but since that day I have slightly struggled to `understand` this fragrance. Ricci's `Love In Paris` and `L'air Du Temps` are to die for and maybe I have been spoilt by what I already have. `Nina` seems to be from a totally different planet, it is far muskier and deep than I initially thought that it would be. But that is not to say that it is one that I have given up on by any means. The inspiration for the perfume came from the `red toffee apple` and from what I can gather this means that the first smell to break through would be the crisp sharp surface and then the softer lighter note will be `hidden` in the middle. Nina Ricci's most famous perfume, L'Air du Temps was created in France back in 1949. L'Air Du Temps means the "Air of Time. I particularly like wearing this perfume as it was the perfume I used on the day I got married. Whenever I use it myself or smell it on others it takes me back in time to that wonderful day when I said 'I do!' The perfume can be found in a delightful, elegant and unique, twin-dove crystal like bottle which was designed and created by Marc Lalique - a work of art in itself! The twin doves are actually the stopper on the bottle. The bottle is packaged in a box that boasts a distinctive yellow colour with attractive images of doves on the box.
