This game is Hack'n'Slash type of game, and there is lot's of battles in which you need to fight with all kind of different enemies. Every enemy have some abilities that makes the battles more challenging, you can't just run straight and swing your sword all around, ... ...but that's what being a ninja is about.
There are plenty of nice looking moves that you can do, but with some time you get bored with them, then you need to join them in pretty advanced combos, but when you master that, then again it gets boring. Few type of weapons is helping this game really much, adding the choice of which weapon you like the best, during the game you can improve them to be even more deadly.

The story plot for me is disappointing a little bit, some guy attacks your village, steal some artifact that will open some kind of hell doors or something like that, and then you just run through the game kill enemies and fight bosses, for me the story is poor and boring, but for Hack'n'Slash games story should not matter.
Graphics are nothing special as well; the level design team was having really bad days designing them as they look poor and simple, no details of whatsoever!! Characters look well, but could have much more details, comparing this game to games like Gears of War is like heaven and hell, Xbox can deal with much better graphics than those seen in this game. Team Ninja have add lots of blood splashing all around when you fight, and the body parts of your opponents fly around making it look like you're the kitchen mixer and they are some kind of strawberries or something, it's nice feature but probably something gone wrong with the script or something and sometimes the game get's stuck and you loose the orientation as the camera goes crazy in the same moment. Camera is almost ok, only sometimes during the battle you can loose orientation because of it (not only when game gets stuck) instead of seeing battlefield you see your back.
The audio is full of screaming from pain enemies, sound's of blades cutting enemies in pieces and some more, but still the same. After hour of playing I've needed to switch extra music to continue playing.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is a good game for Hack'n'Slash and Ninja Gaiden maniacs. Game is challenging, so advanced players might like it as well. But if you like to enjoy yourself playing, and you play games on easy better don't waste your money on this game because you won't finish it.
Advantages: Furious action, Great graphics, Gets the adrenaline pumping Disadvantages: Hard, the adrenaline may cause your heart to explode in excitement
...for me and by default Ninja Gaiden 2 was the only game that looked at all worthwhile trying out. It was.
I am not normally a fan of games in chop all the bad guys up genre due to the fact I never seem to be any good at them. I am being converted by this game though, don't get me wrong this is a hard game, it will frustrate and anger most gamers without a doubt....but, this is an important but.....everything can be overcome, it will take time and ... ...time whirling around like a ninja on speed chopping things up with blades and sticks. It rocks!
Again I do warn it is a hard game, I get frustrated with it but nothing in comparison to the last one. It redeems itself for two reasons, 1. it reminds me of games of old like golden axe and mario in which completion was a very rare thing, 2. the load timesare short and save points are quick to use and available quite regularly throughout the game.
If ...

Advantages: Fun, immersive gameplay Will last a while Disadvantages: Catalogue of gameplay flaws, frustrating
Ninja Gaiden 2 was, in my opinion, going to be the best game of 2008 and to be honest this was solely based on the stunning first instalment from Team Ninja. Everything was perfect; a compelling storyline, fun and fast gameplay that was still very challenging and graphics like none other on the xbox however, NG2 seems to me like it just doesnt have the same effort like the first.
Don't get me wrong, Ninja Gaiden 2 is actually a good game however, ... ...unlocked)
Path of the Master Ninja (has to be unlocked)
Each chapter has you progress through a level with it concluding in a boss battle. The problem here is that NG1 was very challenging in that each boss had a specific strategy yet, NG2 seems that the majority of the bosses can just be hacked down with little effort which is a disappointment.
The only other playable feature, aside from story, is the downloadable 'Mission Mode' which allows ...

Advantages: Combat, Cut Scenes, Graphics, Game Length Disadvantages: Very difficult in places
The first ninja gaiden released for the original Xbox was ahead of its time in action gameplay. Its been over four years but finally the sequel is here. You play as a hyabusa ninja battling against huge bosses with a large choice of weapons to-do so. Fans of the series will be glad to here that the original melee combat system which made the first game a joy, hasn't been changed. But Ninja Gaiden 2 also includes a lot of the same issues the original ... ...game is that a rival ninja clan, is trying to resurrect an evil god, you must stop it. Along the way you will journey from New York city to the depths of hell. This change of scenery is a pleasant attribute the first gaiden didn't have. But saying that the story is cliché with hollow characters and plot twists you can easily see coming.
Concerning NG2s gameplay, each level is linear and only has small side paths. There are also a lot more chance ...

Advantages: Good fun Disadvantages: Gets difficult
The new Ninja gaiden is here and better than last. This game is not for the faint hearted. There is plenty of body slashing in this game and it is a must for ninja game fans. But there are a few flaws such as the game gets very repetetive (but it can be fun for a hack and slash fan) the difficulty of the game will have you pulling your hair (honestly.) But overall it is a good experience and there are awesome combos and flips to peform during the ... ...will say click LB or RB (cant remeber lol) to switch camera angle so it you will be able to see the boss. So my final word is buy this game for some ninja slashing fun but be prepared for the diffuculty curve. Now Have fun and Slash!!!!! ...

Advantages: Fun good for getting out aggresion Disadvantages: steep learning curve, can get repetetive
Ninja Gaiden is just one of those games where my interest was disturbed as i did research on its previous game. Winning all kids of awards game of the year ect i decided to take a look at Ninja gaiden 2.
Its starts off in a bar in a somewhat futuristic city with a girl with huge er guns shall we say. Getting early impressions of the game already i decided it should be a fun play. Then i was thrown straight into it with the difficulty curve being ... ...pretty damn hard but you soon pick it up. The graphics wont amaze but its not what the games about. This is deffinatly aimed at the hardcore gamers and is worth a play. Its always fun to cut through an enemy and see his body parts scatter to opposite ends of the room. I recommed this game if just for a fun weekend. ...
