Big gadget and gaming fan but don't live inside like a vampire, I love extreme sports and martial arts as well! Always on the look out for the next interesting thing to come along and try out.

Awesome, finally a game that provides a challenge!
I only played the last game for a while before throwing my controller at the screen in frustration and thought that this would be the same with number 2. How wrong was I!
I had got bored of GTAIV, shocking I know but other than a couple of clever extras it was doing nothing for me and by default Ninja Gaiden 2 was the only game that looked at all worthwhile trying out. It was.
I am not normally a fan of games in chop all the bad guys up genre due to the fact I never seem to be any good at them. I am being converted by this game though, don't get me wrong this is a hard game, it will frustrate and anger most gamers without a doubt....but, this is an important but.....everything can be overcome, it will take time and effort but instead of being a game that requires no skill or practice it is actually satisfying to survive every single encounter with the enemy.
The demo is available to download on Live at the moment so definitely try it out before buying.
The actual gameplay is stunning, forget the story, these type of games only require a basic kind of plot to give you a reason to kick the next bad guy into next week. There is so many different types of move which all are different for each of the weapon types you can use. There are limbs, head, and torsos regularly chopped into little tiny pieces and strewn across the maps, using everything from big staffs with spikes, wolverine style foot and hand blades to exploding throwing knives and a underwater gatling gun!
Instead of giving the gamer too much to mess around with they limit the magic use so you use it once in a while and spend most of the time whirling around like a ninja on speed chopping things up with blades and sticks. It rocks!
Again I do warn it is a hard game, I get frustrated with it but nothing in comparison to the last one. It redeems itself for two reasons, 1. it reminds me of games of old like golden axe and mario in which completion was a very rare thing, 2. the load timesare short and save points are quick to use and available quite regularly throughout the game.
If you want something different to most other games out at the moment unleash this on your 360 and be prepared to want to go and learn martial arts afterwards.
