The first thing that you'll notice with this game is that it has stunning ... ...chance to drop down to ninja dog level, its easier but apparently your character will have to wear a pink armband and its meant to be shameful playing on this level...
On the main menu there is an option to install the game on your hard drive, this doesn’t install the full game but will lower the load times (you can remove the installed save at any time...)

The first thing that you'll notice with this game is that it has stunning graphics; it runs up to 1080p and supports most other modes. The surroundings look sublime and the characters have so much detail in them.
You'll also soon notice that this game is very very hard! It takes a while to get to grips with the game and even then there are very challenging opponents. The first mission is quite difficult but the second and third are the missions where you'll start to be challenged. If you die three times then you are offered the chance to drop down to ninja dog level, its easier but apparently your character will have to wear a pink armband and its meant to be shameful playing on this level...

The combos in the game are amazing when you know how to use them, and you can also upgrade weapons and buy other weapons and health upgrades at certain points throughout the game, you earn essence to buy these items. You can also find many weapons throughout the game.
The soundtrack of the game fits in well and the sound effects are good.
The numerous boss fights are challenging and the fact that there are often other minor enemies attacking you at the same time as the boss means that it is even more difficult
There aren't many save points in the chapters, which can become frustrating but this adds to the challenge. The game will also last for a long time, after completing normal difficulty mode you unlock hard mode and then more difficult modes when this is complete. (I haven’t completed the game yet but when completed on normal you get some extra missions to play)
Overall If you are looking for a challenging game that offers great graphics then buy this now!
Advantages: Full of action great graphics alot of moves to master and weapons. Disadvantages: Quite short not alot of save points in the game quite frustrating at times.
...Your character Ryu an acrobatic ninja can do all sorts of moves like run across walls jump extrodrinary heights and perform powerful moves. The storyline is bound to keep you on your toes with an unexpected twist at the end. You maybe disappointed with the length of the game however but you could go back and do it again only on extremely hard mode. I think if there was a multiplayer mode this game would have attracted more attention but as it is ...

Advantages: Good / fast paced / alot of action / challenging / graphics and more Disadvantages: may be repetative for ones who own the original
...a re-release of the original Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox it is not entirely the same. the graphics have been improved greatly and it can run in 1080p. the frame rate never glitches or falls.
The levels are the same however, but playing it again never hurts anybody (except the enemy ninjas ha ha). They have added 3 new chapters to the original, and truly it feels like a full and complete game. You can now use Rachael as a character. Mission mode is ... ...the game first
Game play wise, it is difficult for those who haven't played it before, I went through that phase on the Xbox but challenges are what games need nowadays. Games are getting easier and easier; however the most important button is the L1 button, block for those who play it though for the first time. This stops unnecessary hits upon you. ...exact same game as the Ninja Gaiden game on the Xbox but the graphics have just been polished up. Very disappointed.
I don't want to put anyone off though. If you haven't played the Xbox version it is a very good game and if I hadn't played it on the Xbox I'm sure I would have been very impressed with it.
I also think it's generally quite cheap in retailer shops at the moment as it's quite an old game now so I think it would be quite good value ...
