The best in its Hack 'n slash genre!

Advantages: Awesome game play, good looking tricks and combinations, nice environments and weapons!
Disadvantages: No multiplayer

Ninja Gaiden 1 is THE one and only hack 'n slash game. It is the best one I have ever played! You take the role of ninja Ryu Hayabusa, who seeks revenge after his clan is massacred by the Vigor Empire. Taking full advantage of three-dimensional space, advance through the story with only your wits, your ninja skills, and your deadly sword-cutting down opponents in the Vigoor Empire as you attempt to beat the Holy Emperor and reclaim the magic sword ...
...the game.

Ninja Gaiden is astonishing. The visual effects had blown me away! There is a high level of detail, as you are fighting against your enemies in a huge variety of environments. The very cool skills and combinations have taken this game to a whole new level of hacking and slashing.

If I must admit there is one minor disadvantage about this game: there is no multiplayer. I always ask myself what it would if you ... more

Ninja Gaiden, Take A Slash

Advantages: Graphics | Originality | Stunts | Story
Disadvantages: Nothing what so ever

...in years; its name is Ninja Gaiden. It is on the XBOX, and only on the XBOX as no other console could stand up to the awesome graphics this game possesses. Ninja Gaiden was created purposely for the XBOX, which then you can assume it will have great graphics and probably have great game play also. This game is set in the past, and is like a samurai game, you control a ninja called Ryu, and he is from the Hyabusa Clan, which is a clan of ninja’s that ...
...the game. You are a ninja that dresses in black ninja clothes, so he has the advantage of camouflage from the shadows of corners on the ceilings. You are able to do many things in this game, including doing really cool stunts; this ninja does not need wires. You will be able to run along a wall for so many steps, run up a wall that’s so high, and swing on poles which are really cool. You are also able to buy weapons and items that can increase your ...

Finest game on Xbox

Disadvantages: No Xbox Live

Ninja Gaiden is a third person adventure developed by Team Ninja about a young ninja called Ryu Hayabusa who’s out for revenge on the evil henchman Doku who destroyed his village and slaughters the ninjas protecting the evil Dark Dragon Blade. Equipped with his own Dragon Blade, Ryu's journey leads him aboard an airship that is bound for the mysterious Vigoor Empire deep in the heart of Asia . He stows away on this airship and on his arrival his ...
...annoying in the slightest. Team Ninja have really worked to make ambience and the original Japanese music just fits into the game. The fighting sounds realistic. They really complete the game. You can have the voice over in English or Japanese. A great feature of this game is when you stop it; you can pick up from where you left off the last time. So your journey never stops. The only thing wrong with this game is that it doesn’t have Xbox Live, ...

Ninja Gaiden. Stay away casual gamers.

Advantages: Difficult. Amazing graphics. Great gameplay. Good use of downlaodable content.
Disadvantages: Difficult.

...did play the previous 2d ninja gaiden games on the snes, but they do have a good reptutation among gamers. So when i heard team ninja were developing a new game based on the series, i was overjoyed and keen to see what they could accomplish. As it turns out, they surpassed all my hopes with this game. I'll break the review into several seperate categories to describe just how well they did with this game. Graphics: Gamers nowadays expect a nice ...
...want from dlc, and team ninja gave us it for free. No premium content. There are also scoreboards for the game, where you can compete with everyone from the world over by trying to beat scores. There are some dedicated gamers out there though, so it's unlikely you'll actually make an impact. I know i couldn't. Difficulty: This one is a double edged sword. Some people will praise it because it offers a challenge. Some will condemn it. I warn you ...

Ok its time to die!

Advantages: Fast paced Action
Disadvantages: Difficult game play, annoying camera angles

...the usual array of busty ninja girls that you will recognise from Dead or Alive beat em ups. On first go you just marvel at the texturing and quality of the graphics, the light and texturing in this game are very good, then you move your man forward and hes off. Its at this point you realise how fast paced this game is going to be. You have to make sure you get all jumps and angles right, make sure your not being over zealous on the jump button as ...

These hold tips and instructions on how to be better at the game and can be very helpful. Very impressive are the movements like wall running, think Prince of Persia, the running up walls to reach higher places. Even the jumping up thin chambers to reach higher levels. Overall a very acrobatic game. Just be wary ...

Ninja Gaiden makes a welcome return!

Advantages: Great graphics, good game play, overall great value for money!
Disadvantages: Bad camera angle, annoying sound track, no real Xbox live

Ninja Gaiden is the long awaited update of the classic arcade game and NES slash’em up/platform games by Tecmo. In the nineties the Ninja Gaiden series was extremely popular and amassed a large following. Tecmo has made us wait a long time to be able to get our hands on this, the first proper follow up, although we have seen the games lead character, Ryu Hayabusa in the Dead or Alive beat’em up series. This poses the question “has it been worth the ...
...out of a bad 80s ninja film! Ryu Hayabusa and his clan are the protectors of the dark dragon blade. When it is stolen by the evil doku, Ryu’s village burned to the ground and all of his clan slaughtered, Ryu does the same thing any self respecting ninja would do! Go on vengeance fuelled killing spree. Luckily, myself and most other gamers didn’t buy this for its story line, but for its combat and in this area Ninja Gaiden most certainly doesn’t disappoint! ...

Ninja Gaiden 2 (xbox360)

Advantages: Fun good for getting out aggresion
Disadvantages: steep learning curve, can get repetetive

Ninja Gaiden is just one of those games where my interest was disturbed as i did research on its previous game. Winning all kids of awards game of the year ect i decided to take a look at Ninja gaiden 2. Its starts off in a bar in a somewhat futuristic city with a girl with huge er guns shall we say. Getting early impressions of the game already i decided it should be a fun play. Then i was thrown straight into it with the difficulty curve being somewhat a bitch. Even for a tutorial level it was pretty damn hard but you soon pick it up. The graphics wont amaze but its not what the games about. This is deffinatly aimed at the hardcore gamers and is worth a play. Its always fun to cut through an enemy and see his body parts scatter to opposite ends of the room. I recommed this game if just for a fun weekend. ...

Review of Ninja Gaiden 2 (NG II) (Xbox 360)

Path of a NINJA

Advantages: Combat, Cut Scenes, Graphics, Game Length
Disadvantages: Very difficult in places

The first ninja gaiden released for the original Xbox was ahead of its time in action gameplay. Its been over four years but finally the sequel is here. You play as a hyabusa ninja battling against huge bosses with a large choice of weapons to-do so. Fans of the series will be glad to here that the original melee combat system which made the first game a joy, hasn't been changed. But Ninja Gaiden 2 also includes a lot of the same issues the original did. Which are definitely not acceptable on a next generation system. The story moves quickly with furious action and twists throughout. The rough plot of the game is that a rival ninja clan, is trying to resurrect an evil god, you must stop it. Along the way you will journey from New York city to the depths of hell. This change of scenery is a pleasant attribute the first gaiden ...

Review of Ninja Gaiden 2 (NG II) (Xbox 360)

Ninja Gaiden 2 reviewed.

Advantages: Challenging, Bloody, Enemies heads flying around. Good choice of Weapons.
Disadvantages: Poor level desing, poor graphics, poor audio, might be too hard, CAMERA.

First of all I want to say sorry if I'll harm any Ninja Gaiden fans, I have played this game for some time, and I regret that I've payed 40 quid for it in this review I will be honest about this game. This game is Hack'n'Slash type of game, and there is lot's of battles in which you need to fight with all kind of different enemies. Every enemy have some abilities that makes the battles more challenging, you can't just run straight and swing your sword all around, the game makes you to jump as some crazy freak and make all different types of kick ass combos but that's what being a ninja is about. There are plenty of nice looking moves that you can do, but with some time you get bored with them, then you need to join them in pretty advanced combos, but when you master that, then again it gets boring. Few type of weapons is helping this ...
