a satisfing fps for ds
Advantages: nice sound, Smooth aim, great graphics Disadvantages: can get grainy at times , controlls take time getting used to
World At War is one of the first successful shooter for the ds. It pushes the ds to its complete limits . There is much more on screen enemies and allies than the modern warfare and has even more weapons .This version looks and feels like the last one but it makes many minor improvements that make it a much better game.Unlike the last the enemies are stronger and more plentiful making it so that you cant beat the game by just run around shooting. ... ...The story line is a little short but challenge feature and awards add more dept to the game . Going through the levels shooting up your enemies is satisfying . Using the stylus to aim works perfectly allowing you to aim for the head and get a one hit kill. The gameplay is fairly smooth and fast pace but you have to keep in mind its only a ds so its not nearly as exiting as playing on a 360 but for rides in the bus it just about does the job. Online ...

Geometary Wars DS
Advantages: Great addictive gameplay, good download play Disadvantages: lags a bit...
Geometery Wars games are small, arcade shooters which sees the player flying a 2D spaceship around various planets and shooting them out of the sky. However, the Nintendo DS changes the way you play these games. You used to have two analogue sticks, one controlled your movement and the other controlled your ships cannon. But on the DS, you use the D-pad to move and the Touch screen and stylus to fire. You can also press L or R to fire a bomb and ... ...buy the DS and Wii versions, the developers have put a hidden galaxy in that is unlocked by wirelssly connecting the two toghether. The game also has a Wi-Fi high score board that displays the days top scores on the different planets.
The one downside to the DS version is that when the ship is completely surrounded by enemies, the game starts to lag a bit because the DS's proscesser cannot keep up.
Fortunately, this does not ruin the game. ...

One of the best war games on the DS
Advantages: Great graphics, great sound Disadvantages: Controls are difficult to get used to, not that many missions
Brothers in Arms is the typical concept of most war games whereby you play as, and control, a single soldier within a team of soldiers that are controlled by the DS.
In this game you must complete different missions from getting through enemy lines to ploughing tanks through the frontline shooting Germans as you go and protecting your fellow team members. ****Graphics****
The visuals on this game are amazing and it is graphically the best game ... ...game.
****Conclusion**** Brothers in Arms is a great game and well worth playing. I definitely recommend it and you will not be disappointed. The controls are effective, although difficult to master, and the combined use of the directional pad and touch screen is cleverly thought out.
Persevere and practice with the controls and they will soon be mastered allowing you to enjoy the game to the full.
The overall gaming experience is second to none ...

A solid FPS for the DS
Advantages: fast paced action, solid FPS controls, single-cartridge multiplayer Disadvantages: campaign underwhelmed, opponents online are jerks, hand cramps
...actually got my DS for Metroid Prime: Hunters. I enjoyed playing this game but it's not the epic Metroid title i was expecting.
Hunters gives players a choice to use a multitude of weapons which is a great change of pace from past Metroid games and switching is easily done with the touch screen. Each weapon has the standard fire mode and a charged fire mode but shooting costs ammo like in Echos but ammo is easily found everywhere. Plus missiles ... ...hunter has his/her/its special ability.
Metroid Prime: Hunters delivers a more action oriented Metroid game which for hardcore Metroid fans is not a good thing. But for a Halo fan, like me, is an awesome thing. I thought that more shooting would've made the original Prime so much better. However the addition of more firefights comes at a price. Hunters is extremely lacking in the exploration department despite taking place on random planets and ...
