One of the best war games on the DS
Advantages: Great graphics, great sound Disadvantages: Controls are difficult to get used to, not that many missions
Brothers in Arms is the typical concept of most war games whereby you play as, and control, a single soldier within a team of soldiers that are controlled by the DS.
In this game you must complete different missions from getting through enemy lines to ploughing tanks through the frontline shooting Germans as you go and protecting your fellow team members. ****Graphics****
The visuals on this game are amazing and it is graphically the best game ... ...game.
****Conclusion**** Brothers in Arms is a great game and well worth playing. I definitely recommend it and you will not be disappointed. The controls are effective, although difficult to master, and the combined use of the directional pad and touch screen is cleverly thought out.
Persevere and practice with the controls and they will soon be mastered allowing you to enjoy the game to the full.
The overall gaming experience is second to none ...

Geometary Wars DS
Advantages: Great addictive gameplay, good download play Disadvantages: lags a bit...
Geometery Wars games are small, arcade shooters which sees the player flying a 2D spaceship around various planets and shooting them out of the sky. However, the Nintendo DS changes the way you play these games. You used to have two analogue sticks, one controlled your movement and the other controlled your ships cannon. But on the DS, you use the D-pad to move and the Touch screen and stylus to fire. You can also press L or R to fire a bomb and ... ...buy the DS and Wii versions, the developers have put a hidden galaxy in that is unlocked by wirelssly connecting the two toghether. The game also has a Wi-Fi high score board that displays the days top scores on the different planets.
The one downside to the DS version is that when the ship is completely surrounded by enemies, the game starts to lag a bit because the DS's proscesser cannot keep up.
Fortunately, this does not ruin the game. ...

Dead N Furios Review
Advantages: Good story Mode and control scheme Disadvantages: Sounds and graphics are substandard at best with framerates also suffering
...welcome to my review of Dead N Furios or known also as Touch the Dead in some regions.
This game by the screenshots chosen seems to illustrate a graphical design similiar to the well renowned House of the Dead by Sega. Having imported this game from www.play-asia.com when it launched in the US I was excited when it came through the post to me in the United Kingdom here.
The gameplay for me was quite genuis with them using the stylus to control ... ...quick well along with a reasonable storyline script.
But that is when the worst is yet to come with this game as I found that the graphics for the title need more work and the framerate and osund effects for this title heavily suffer.
However I think that with more development time this game could have become better than average. ...

Probably the best FPS you can get on the DS...
Advantages: Great graphics and sound, they went all out on the online multiplayer Disadvantages: Controls can cramp up hands
Call of Duty: World at War is a great FPS (first person shooter) for the DS. When I purchased this game, I really wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to take a while to complete the main missions, and even longer to complete the special ones. The graphics are as good as they can get on the DS, and the sound is just as good as it would be on a PS2. The controls, however, are very original. You use the touch screen to adjust your view and turn. ... ...keys (or the A, B, Y, and X keys if your left-handed like me) to move forward and to strafe. Although it feels very weird the first time you play, after a while, they become very easy to use, and you can become very precise in your shots. The only downside is, if your using a DS Lite (like me) or a DSi, the controls will cramp up your hands after a while. I also feel I must mention the online multiplayer mode, as it is THE BEST online play I've experienced ...

Possibly the best war game on the DS
Advantages: Excellent graphics, great sound effects, good missions, Disadvantages: It is a short game with not that many missions
The Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (?COD4?) is another game of the first person shooter genre. You play the role of a Special Forces soldier whose mission is to prevent terrorists from detonating a nuclear weapon. The terrorists run you on a goose chase across Europe and the Middle East and it is your task to stop them by going from checkpoint to checkpoint and killing terrorists.
****Graphics****
The graphics are 3 dimensional. The characters ... ...gives you the chance to call the air force that will come and destroy enemy vehicles with an air strike. An issue I have is that actions requiring double tapping with the stylus or the directional pad (i.e. obtaining the more precise aim, running and crouching) are not always picked up. Sometimes nothing will happen, other times you may want to run in with a normal target and you will end up crouching with the precise target. It is very frustrating ...
