The Nintendo DS Lite is a portable gaming system with two screens that have been vertically alligned, one at the top and one at the bottom. On the bottom is a touch screen that allows you to use a stylus pen for selecting options to playing games. There's also the standard direction buttons, located to the left of the bottom screen, and standard X, Y, A, B buttons along with Start and Select Buttons- all of which are located to the right of the bottom screen,.
The Nintendo DS games come on a cartridge format and cost anything between £10-£25. The main advantage of the Nintendo DS Games over the Sony PSP games is the loading times are much quicker this is mainly because the cartridges are smaller in capacity to the UMD Discs.
The Nintendo DS has been made much smaller than the original DS, the dimensions of the new console are 0.83 by 2.83 by 5.25 inches which basically equivilates to a handheld that is 39 percent smaller than the original. One thing that remains the same is the size of the two screens,
The front of the system is unchanged, with the volume control, the GBA game slot, and the in-line-enabled headphone port are in the same spots. The back end of the handheld console is basically the same. The only thing that's moved is the stylus holder, which is on the back of the system, to the left of the power switch. It looks a little more discreet, and the stylus fits a bit nicer.
The DS Lite has four brightness settings and at its brightest, it's almost as good as the Game Boy Advance SP console. Wi-Fi compatibility on the Nintendo DS Lite is good for a free service. The Wi-Fi setup is simple, as the system can spot most wireless connections, however if no one is nearby to you, you can attact your DS Lite to your PC by using a Nintendo USB Wi-Fi Connector.
Overall
The Good:
The Nintendo DS Lite is a much sleeker and slimmer design than the original DS. The DS Lite would eaily fit in your pocket with its thin and light weight design,. The DS Lite also features a microphone which can be used to enchance gameplay and add another dimension to the gaming experience. This console will also play almost every Gameboy Advance title, much like how the Nintendo Wii will play old Gamecube games.,
The Bad:
Playing online games through Wi-Fi can be a hassle and the DS also lacks some of the key features that can be found on a Sony PSP, such as the ability to store photos and music.
Conclusion:
The Nintendo DS is an impressive improvement from the original DS because of its new smaller design, brighter twin screens and an ever expanding list of games. This handheld console will only get popular with its games coming down in price all the time.

(+) Plenty of storage space, for media. Good Games, Great for partys, with singstar. Very Reliable. (-) Sometimes the optical drive, breaks; but not very likely, my 60gb still working after 2 1/2 years.

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
Advantages: Cheap and fits in your pocket. Disadvantages: Low-end hardware. Easly scratched. Not as revolutionary as Nintendo would like you to believe.
