I had one of these for about a year until I sold it off for an Xbox 360 (good decision). I found the DS Lite has very good wireless play for friends in the area with one of them. The chat rooms are also quite useful if you are on a trip with several friends. As I found out, on a ski trip, I spent about 3 hours on the DS racing about 10 other people in Mario Kart; its a brilliant way to pass a journey. However, equally, it is also fun offline. Although the games don't have as good graphics as the likes of the Xbox 360 or PS3. They are still not bad and they do have the one of a kind revolutionary stlylus-touch screen system. This allows you to draw out the actions on the touch screen of the DS in certain games. More credit is put to the DS lite since it is compatible with the older gameboy advance games (quite a few consoles don't allow you to do this now). The controls are very easy to use and are easy to work out. Overall, If you are going to buy a DS lite, I would buy it if you want a portable console, not as your primary cconsole. As I found out, the games to get quite limited because of the DS Lite's capability. If you are looking for better graphics and games, but not portability, I would go for an Xbox 360. Even though I am glad I sold it off, don't think that means it isn't a good item, I just got fed up of the graphics and games on it. Its still a brilliant portable console.

(+) Plenty of storage space, for media. Good Games, Great for partys, with singstar. Very Reliable. (-) Sometimes the optical drive, breaks; but not very likely, my 60gb still working after 2 1/2 years.

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
Advantages: Cheap and fits in your pocket. Disadvantages: Low-end hardware. Easly scratched. Not as revolutionary as Nintendo would like you to believe.
