The Nintendo DSi XL

The Nintendo DSi XL

The Nintendo DSi XL

  • Easy to use
  • Several applications available to download
  • Recommended for 6+

The Nintendo DSi XL, that adapted from the Nintendo Ds Lite, were invented by Nintendo 5 years after releasing Ds Lite. This clever addition to the Nintendo collection was invented by not a single person, but a whole team of people.

In my opinion, I think that the two large screens are the perfect size to play games on, as are they for some of the downloadable software. On either sides of the top screen, there are speakers that enable you to listen to music. On the right-hand side of the bottom touch screen, there are four commonly known buttons "X", "A", "B" and "Y". Underneath those buttons, there are 2 smaller buttons "Start" and "Select" that are used for in-game playing. On the other side, there is a control pad with the four different directions on. Underneath that, there is a power button in which you obviously use to turn your console off and on. As well as that, there are 2 cameras, 1 placed on the spine of the inside and 1 is located on the screen on the outside.
Is it easy to use?

If your product is new and you're just turning it on, there are on-screen instructions in which you must follow. Your name, date of birth, date and time are specifically required. The ease of use is simple and I guarantee that any child able to read can set it up them self.
Extra features

There are several extra features and downloadable applications available in the Nintendo DSi Shop (an internet connection is relevant to access this). For example, a piece of software that enables you to create self-drew animations can be installed for free. Depending on how advanced the software is, you may be charged Nintendo Points which you can purchase online.

Overall, the Nintendo DSi XL is a great gaming console aimed at younger children who like interaction through fun and exciting games. Personally, I think that this gaming console is also suitable for young or even older adults that enjoy playing.

Looks nicer than the chunky DS I owned. Not sure that I will upgrade now that the 3DS is out.
