Nintendo's Colour Gameboy is the latest electronic mini games console. Redesigned for the begining of the 21st centuary, this machine is now available in various colours. Designed to be handheld and played on the move, the screen is large and easy to see, with the easily accessable joystick controls on the face. I found it very difficult to rate this product. For pure technical and entertainment value I would give 5 stars, however the potential dangers far outweigh the merits of this system. These dangers may only be perceived dangers, a parents concern overriding the research, however, there can be no harm in being pro-active and ensuring that there are certain precautions taken before any potential dangers can occur. Ahhh, the trusty Gameboy Color - maybe not the most advanced handheld games console but it could possibly be the best and most reliable. When these badboys first came out I owned the Pokemon Pikachu Special Edition Console - it lasted me years running on AA batteries but then to my dismay my brother took it and sold it for a mere £3. Considering, I have owned: Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Original Nintendo DS, DS Lite, DSi, PSP, Original Xbox, PS1, PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 - I would say that this is the best HANDHELD i have ever owned. Eldest Daughter (6) did not write on her letter to Santa that she wanted a Gameboy, daddy decided she should have one, why are fathers like that? Santa picked it up from John Lewis at a bargain £58 instead of the normal £64, not knowingly undersold you see. Additionally picked up a Charger Pack £12.99, a light £6 and 102 Dalmations Game at £24, that was the mistake! Yes, I should have bought the Gameboy without any games.
