We've only had our Nintedo Wii a short amount of time having bought it in April 2010. At the same time, and as part of a package, we bought the Wii Fit Plus which also came with the balance board. I will talk a little bit about the Wii Fit Plus package first and then reflect on the balance board. Wii Fit Plus is essentially a programme for the Nintendo Wii that aims to help you get fit and lose weight whilst enjoying some fun activities at the same time. The first time that you use it, you will need to use the balance board to determine weight and BMI which can be a little bit scary but then ... more

"I will use it" I said "Sure? Not going to be like your other weight losing equipment?" asked hubby "Yes, I want to lose weight and I will use this" I said "Alright we'll buy Wii Fit Plus, Balance Board and a Wii console too!" replied hubby That was over a year ago and I am still using the Wii Fit Plus and Balance Board today. Wii Balance Board There is no assembly required just pop in the 4 x AA batteries supplied, turn on your Wii console insert the Wii Fit Plus disk and it should sync to your Wii Console (no wires to trip over), if it does not sync all you need to is press the Sync button ... more

Why I brought the Wii Fit? I brought the Wii Fit Plus last month from the store Smyths (the toy store). I brought the Wii balance board, Wii Console and Wii Fit Plus for the total price of £185. The reason I brought it was because of the poster outside the shop which showed how it can monitor your bmi and weight and the different games and exercises which the Wii Fit offers. I chose the black Wii Fit console and a matching black board because I wanted it to match the plasma TV. Wii Fit is also available in white. I don't think it is available in any other colours except black and white. My ... more

Advantages Advantages Fun to play, easy to use, easy to set up.

Disadvantages Disadvantages not suitable for smaller children, not an effective workout.

I bought Wii Fit Plus over a year ago now, and have used it on a regular basis. I already had a balance board (a requirement for the game) as I bought Wii Fit a few years ago, but fancied upgrading it as I was interested in seeing the new additions to the game. I am glad that I did. I bought both games more to play on than for the fitness aspect. I would have been disappointed if I had bought it to get myself fit. The Wii Balance Board is unable to cope with forceful movements; yYou can walk on the spot and lean to one side, but you can't run or jump on it. This limits the extent to which you ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad times when batteries are low.

Wii Fit Plus The Wii Fit had already sold very well, so how could they make it better. Well having been addicted to the Wii Fit, I found that there were several ways it could improve such as making things more customized. I loved the original Wii Fit because it felt so interactive with the use of a virtual personal trainer who was very positive and motivating and also a use of great features that were easy to use and good for both beginners and advanced users alike. Then the Wii Fit Plus came along and I think they did a great job on it. How Is It Different From The Wii Fit? This isn't a ... more
