Table Football. A good game
Advantages: Good game. Fun. Good Graphics. Disadvantages: Takes some getting used to
...Im not the best at table football on an actual table, so playing it in simulation did'nt seem the best idea, but something was telling me to give it a go. I was not too sure wether it would work well on screen and how the controls would work. But i have to say im pleasantly surprized that this is actually a good game. Main Features:
Fast paced table football action Create your own team of Table Football players Play using official rules or create ... ...games using any of the Table footballing rule sets, you may select to play from a number of pitches, also deciding you're team, the opponents and the weight/ material of the ball you wish to use.
Each of you're opponents have a distinctive style of play, each having their own set of skills and tactics!
I have to say that this is not the easiest game to get to grips with, it took me a couple of hours to get used to the controls. Although they seem ...

A poor man's rhythm game
Advantages: Cheaper than Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour Disadvantages: Weak controls, poor music, a feeble imitation of far superior rhythm games
Introduction We Rock: Drum King, from 505 games, is yet another of those rhythm games in the fashion of Guitar Hero and Rock Band. However, it attempts to offer the same sort of game without requiring any sort of extra controller. Gameplay If you've ever seen or played Rock Band or Guitar Hero, you'll pretty much know what to expect. There's a track display in the middle of the screen giving you cues for each action and when they reach ... ...tracks include the likes of We Will Rock You, Born To Be Wild and The Final Countdown. However, they're all re-recorded versions that sound decidedly poor next to the originals. Worse still, there's very little prominent drumming in them which decidedly works against the concept. Controls You start out by holding a Wii-mote in each hand (yes, this game needs too, but just about everyone has picked up a second one somewhere so that's unlikely ...

Everything but the kitchen sink
Advantages: Nice casual game. New two-player mode, improved controls and 3D graphics. Disadvantages: Possibly just a bit too offbeat for most gamers.
Cooking Mama was one of those surprise hits on the Nintendo DS; based on the exploits of a Japanese domestic goddess, it's an essentially casual game that allows you to fill in a few minutes here and there, but also one that quietly becomes addictive as you play it over time. Sequels followed and the series inevitably branched out to the Wii with a somewhat lacklustre port that did little to improve on the DS version and made some rather erratic ... ...the Wii-mote as a universal cooking utensil that chops, stirs, flips, etc. This is all done via gesture controls that, for the most part, tend to work rather well; this somewhat contrasts with the first game in the series which seemed a bit rushed and imprecise. Rather than sheer speed, as in the DS version, it's more about getting things in time with the animation here. Each recipe has a number of steps and you'll be graded on them and, if you get ...

Cheer for me!!!!
Advantages: Keeps you fit, fun, good value Disadvantages: Addicitive
...What it's all about
We Cheer is all about cheerleading (shock horror!). The game is based on dance style cheerleading with a good focus on helping kids (big and small alike) keep fit. You compete in various dances in order to unlock further songs and arenas and stages to perform on. You are the captain of the cheerleading squad and you goal is to make it all the way and be the best!!!
How it works
For this game you need two remotes for ... ...hand, being your poms!!! You can play with only one remote, i've tried it and i don't think it was as good. If you play on two player you each have one Wii remote and again it's not that good with only the one. When you create a new file you go through some basic training, this teaches you how to hold you wii remote/poms and how to do the basic moves. There are two lines on the screen, the right hand is red and the left is blue and a little star ...

Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games (Wii) is an 'ok' game.
Advantages: Lots of sports, can play with balance board, ability to play with a mii, dream events are fun. Disadvantages: No real story, Balance Board controls poorly on most mini-games, might get boring quickly.
First off, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is yet another mini-game collection. The Wii has seen a large amount of these types of games lately, so if yet another one is going to appear on the Wii, it had better be a good one. And that's the problem with this particular game. In no way is this game terrible, but it isn't that remarkable either. If it released on another console i might have been a bit more forgiving, however on a console ... ...bobsleighs down hills in the Mario universe. The only other noticeable things different in dream events is that you can collect power-ups and then press the (B) button to use them. It is of course also possible to play using the Wii balance board, although it feels like it was added as an afterthought as playing with it is fairly difficult. If you are going to get this game purely for the Balance Board support (like i did), then DON'T. The controls ...
