Awful Game

Advantages: Learn the meanings of Spainish words
Disadvantages: Do not learn how to pronounce anything

...game as a gift for my birthday as I live in Lanzarote and have to say my Spanish is shocking!!! I was so excited to get it as I thought it would be fun and educational and I have to say the idea is a brilliant one. Unfortunatley the practice is less so!!! This came has 100s and 100s of Spanish words on it but not one of them is pronounced so what is the point. Its all well and good learning the words meanings but if you cannot say them why bother? ...

Review of My Spanish Coach (Wii)

'groping' for a word...

Advantages: Very clever and undoubtly provides help for struggling adults/older children
Disadvantages: a pricey item if needing to purchase the consoles also

My word coach is for those of us that find ourselves as my partner says 'groping' for a word. Bless him. There are many times where we have had to write that all important letter to the bank or to a prospective new employer, only to be failed by our weak understanding of the British language, thanks to love letters under the desk and that sneaky sherbet fountain during your English lesson. Advantages: Fun Family activities, Good humor
Disadvantages: Poor Single Player, can sometimes repeat itself

Smarty Pants is a quiz game designed to test your knowledge on a variety of different subjects, it is not a game i would reccomend to play by yourself but is fantastic for playing with your family or friends, as you answer questions you gather points, who ever has the highest amount of points by the end of the quiz wins taking away a fabulous prize.
