Cross Animal Crossing off your list
Advantages: It's pretty and cheerful Disadvantages: It's got no plot! I don't need much of an aim in a game, but I'd like some purpose.
What is it? It's a town. You have a little person who lives in a town and you spend your time doing things. Things like picking flowers, fishing, digging up fossils, buying things, selling turnips, planting trees, selling fruit. You can also talk to other creatures who live in your town about mundane things like whether they're happy or sad or whether they've lost their keys or not. What do you have to do? It's quite endearing really, ... ...to it. There aren't any puzzles or games involved. No mysteries to solve, no level progression. No feeling of achieving anything. It's just a big old dolls house. Now if you like things like the sims (but without so many options) where you just shuffle around and achieve nothing much then it's fine. If you want any sort of objective to achieve then this is seriously dull. So just to say again if you didn't get it, there is NO plot. What's the ...

MySims dispenses with realism and is now creativity heaven!
Advantages: Creative heaven!, Deatiled graphics, Will last a long time, Perfect in most ways. Disadvantages: Loading times very dissapointing, Regular Sims fans might not find much here to like.
... Graphics The MySims universe is very colourful and cartoony, the trees and fountains, whilst not intended to be realistic, are well detailed and look very nice. The three areas (town, desert, forest) all look diverse and very attractive, especially the forest which takes on an oriental theme once people have been moved into it. Most prominently however are the Sims themselves, which have taken on many cartoon qualities, very much resembling ... ...very good indeed, with the MySims universe looking colourful and detailed. 4/5 Sound The background main music in Sims is, like the rest of the game, very cheerful and uplifting and is of a high enough quality to not get repetitive. There is also different music played in houses and buildings, all of which is themed according to the ‘essence’ interest of the owner. The Sims don’t talk English, instead speaking the Sims language, Simlish, ...

Little kings story is not a little game!
Advantages: great gameplay, fun, unique, huge game! Disadvantages: The map is hard to understand, and it can get repetitive
...i came out, with the little money my student loan gives me, i went out and bought it at full price (which i rarely do - second hand gamestores are the way forward!). Playing the game when i got home, i was not disapointed at all. The game starts slowly, getting you used to the way the game works. You are a little king, and you have to build up you town by buying buildings which are then placed in preset places, so all towns look the same i.e. you ... ...This was a bit of a disapointment, but when you start building many buildings in your town, you are grateful for the ease of building. Starting with only a few villagers (who all have their own name and look) at your disposal, you have to go out and find TREASURE! This is the pikmin like stage of the game, begining with simple villagers, you find treasure buried, and you have to dig it up. There are also monsters in the land, killing them gets you ...

Wii Littlest pet shop - great for kidsbut limited time span
Advantages: Fun mini-games and cute animation Disadvantages: Limited playability
Having brought this for my littlest pet shop mad daughter I expected it to be an instant hit and to be fair it was. However my daughter is 9 and needed a little help with some of the games and my younger daughter who is 7 struggled to play by herself at times. The frustrating part is they have to 'pass' certain games to get the next animal and they were often asking for help. However they loved the animation and the interaction with the animals. ... ...into the littlest pet shop animals as it is the animation of them which kept my two most entertained. I would suggest buying it if your kids like these toys anyway, otherwise I would suggest one of the different range of sim animal games that there are available. ...

Cooking Mama on wii is not as good as on Ds
Advantages: 55 recipes, multiplayer mode is fun Disadvantages: gameplay after a while gets quite boring.
The cooking mam franchise at the moment are only available on the Nintendo Ds and wii systems. First I had Cooking Mama on my Ds and I found the game to be fun and enjoyable that I decided to go and buy the game on the Wii. When you first start playing the game it tells you everything you need to know to make the recipes. You have 55 unique recipes to try out in the game which all are challenging and different. Its fun and easy to learn the movements ... ...remote to do all different cooking things like chopping, slicing, frying, stiring etc.
One thing thats very fun in the game is the two player multiplayer mode. You race against the time to beat the opposing player while trying not to make any mistakes. This is very funny and compatative. This game can be played by all ages which means that the whole family can play and have some fun.
The graphics of the game are done in a cute art syle sort of ...
