The Wii Nunchuk controller is used with the Wii console, both produced by Nintendo.
The Nunchuk is used by plugging it in to the bottom of the Wii Remote (see my reviews for a review on this too!), it's very simply to use and very simple in design. It is designed to be held in one hand and is suitable for use in many different games (you will be prompted by the Wii when you need to plug it in or when it's no longer required.
There are three buttons C, Z and the joystick (see display picture above) and these are used for playing in a variety of games from being a shooter to being a boxer.
If you use this for boxing it will help you to weave and block yourself as well as help you throw punches. In a first person shooter style game you may well use the joystick for moving your character and the C & Z button to shoot your gun & aim.
The design of this is fantastic, it is white to match the rest of the Wii equipment and the console itself, it's very easy to hold and fits in my hand perfectly. My other half has quite large hands and doesn't have any complaints with the design of this.
The reaction time of the nunchuk is very fast and it is a marvellously sensitive product that works with your ever move, or button press!
One of the best features is the fact that you just plug it in to the remote so there is no need for yet more batteries!
Also, if you don't like the wired version there are wireless versions available on Amazon for £15.00 and these come in various colours.
If you purchase a Wii console brand new you will receive one of these almost with a Wii Remote for free but they can be purchased separately from Amazon for £13.48 (as of 3rd April 2009).
I am a massive fan of the Wii (having recently been brought it by my fantastic other half) & I would highly recommend the console and this nunchuk, therefore I have rated it 5/5.
