Advantages good quality

Disadvantages sold seperately to the wii remote

The Nunchuk is a rather unusual word and it has yet to find itself in any dictionary, however it is a vital word to any Nintendo Wii player. The Nunchuk is vital for some games as it allows you to use both hands and has an extra button for different controls.

Price and availability

The Nintendo Nunchuk costs around £9.99 and is sold separately from the Wii remote.

Description

The nunchuk is white and fits neatly into the palm of your hand so that your thumb can rest easily on the moveable button on top of it, this rotates round. There are also two other buttons on the nunchuk that are easy to locate and push. At the bottom of the nunchuk is a wire that connects the nunchuk to the Wii remote.

I think you can get these in different colours these days, however when I bought mine it was only available in white.

Play time

The nunchuk is necessary for games such as boxing. When holding the remote in one hand and the wii
nunchuk in the other, it represents your two boxing hands. Everytime you hit out with the nunchuk you are performing a left hook or left punch as opposed to a right punch or hook. (There is no right or wrong way to hold the nunchuk as if you are left handed you may prefer to hold the nunchuk in your right hand.
The Nunchuk can also be used in Archery games where you use the nunchuk to pull back the arrow. Similarly in Legend of Zelda you need the nunchuk as your shield. It also doubles up as a bow and arrow in one game and a fishing rod in the other.

Overall

Some games will not be able to be played without the nunchuk, on the back of games there is usually a little diagram of the wii remote and it tells you what controls you will need. I like the nunchuk as it gives an extra dimension to Gaming and opens up the controls giving you more freedom.

This is a really good quality accessory and a good investment.
