Nissan 100NX

I have had both variations of this car available in the UK and my opinion of this car is that it is very quick for the engine size. Both of these cars have been hugely reliable with the only things ever going wrong are the usual wear and tears such as tyres, exhaust and brakes. The average fuel consumption I have gotten out of the injection model ranges around the 32mpg mark and 29mpg for the carbed version but I do drive rather quickly. what a great car the nissan 100 nx is. i cannot recommend it highly enough. mine is in black with a very easy to use and practical t-bar roof which looks great. with only a 1.6 engine i thought that it might be slightly under powered but was pleasantly surprised by the performance which is not earth shattering but more than ample. the addition of a good pioneer cd player was essential but the radio cassette provided was perfectly useable. the overall appearance of the nissan 100 nx is one of sheer beauty. ... more

Ok, so we aren't talking about a ferrari here, but if you want heads to turn for little money, then its hard to beat an NX. They are very economical little cars, giving probably 50mpg on a long run, but if its just about economy..... buy a Micra! Cheap insurance, reasonable cheap for parts (its basically a re-bodied nissan sunny), and yes cheap to buy with Japanese reliability. You can easily pick one up for a few hundred quid, and you will have miles of fun, roof off, stereo turned up.......enjoy! That was my thought on my first drive of the Nissan 100nx. Granted the car had some of the usual faults, Heater controls .. cured by a quick solder, loss of power, good service cured this.. so what to say of the car .. Well this was part of a New Generation of motors for Nissan, these included the 200sx, 300zx and of course the 100nx. the Nx was designed in California and bridged two familys of Nissan motors that being the Sunny and the Cherry family.
