Good first car but a bit underpowered
Advantages: Economical, reliable, handles well, cheap, reasonably comfortable, good roadholding Disadvantages: Dosen't look great, basic kit, underpowered, not very fun compared to other small cars
...Though I do not recommend this as this wastes fuel, your clutch and your tyres. In conclusion, if you are considering a Nissan Micra then I recommend you go for it. There are many quality cheap examples available so look around. Beware of ex-driving school cars and rare subframe rust. ...

Driver beware the Nissan Micra 1.2 16v E
Advantages: basic car nothing complicated about it Disadvantages: very poor urban performance, high petrol consumption
...for urban driving - it performs very poorly at town speeds and anything below 40mph - jusy gets on your nerves!
Definitely not good on petrol consumption we spend £60 quid to drive 300 mile... work that one out.
Driver beware the Micra
And our new car... not a Nissan ...

Ideal car for difficult times
Advantages: Cheap & reliable, easy to repair, refined, well built Disadvantages: Lacks an image, noisy timing chains
...why not consider this particular Nissan Micra.
This particular model is no longer available new but there are still thousands on the road in the UK & many up for sale in garage forecourts. I once worked at a Nissan dealership when this model was introduced & also run one for three years so I can speak from experience.
There have been Nissan Micras since 1983, the original model (K10 series) was a big seller in the UK & became a favourite with the ... ...stride never getting stuck.
Nissan upgraded the model around 1998 & tried to eliminate the 'cutey' look from the front end by giving the Micra bigger headlamps & a more aggressive grille, the rear lamps were changed & the dash up graded. They also introduced bigger engines.
What should I look out for if I am buying one? The smooth 16 valve engine can suffer from noisy timing chains at high mileage, this is a labour intensive job & can become quite ...

A worthy little car with unusual looks
Advantages: Package, to drive, nippy, economical, relaible Disadvantages: To many, its looks will put people off
...have issued is not a Nissan Micra.
It’s an anniversary probably no one knew much about, 25 years is a long time & a milestone worth celebrating. However, this anniversary in the middle of a recession was only probably celebrated by a handful of marketing people & the odd factory worker. What am I on about?
Well the 25th anniversary of the humble Nissan Micra recently happened; did it have much effect on you? No I thought not, much the same with ... ...to run & reliable.
NISSAN MICRA
If there is one single thing that may put you off buying the new Micra it will probably be its looks. Although a subjective matter looks are important & the new Micra is certainly different against normal small cars.
It’s the ‘bug eyed’ headlamps that do it for most, those lamps are not fitted like most cars at the very front of the car but they are placed back into the bonnet line close to the windscreen. It does ...

Old Granny Car? I think not!
Advantages: economical, looks, speed Disadvantages: none!
I loooovvvveeee my Micra! I have the new model of this, 2003 not the one in the picture. I love the bubble shape of this car and it surprisingly has a lot of room in it. I used to have a Mazda MX5, then a Ford Streetka, but when we got a dog (GSD) I had to get a car he could actually fit in! So I found this Micra. It was only £6k for a diesel that had only done 16000 miles! And it's brilliant. People say 'oh it's an old granny car' but I am only ...
