Nissan Almera 1.6

MY ALMERA = Now I'm not going to pretend that I know lots and lots about cars and how they work. But I do know what I like, what makes a nice drive and how comfortable I am in it. My car is a Nissan Almera 1.6 SLX. It's a 1996 P reg so it isn't the same as the new shape ones you see on the road but I feel that it was one of the best buys when I got it. The Nissan entrant in the Focus class has recently been largely revised and the bland and inoffensive looks have been redesigned to give the car a curious and rather aggressive stance on the road from the front, though from the side the rear looks a little odd. In an attempt to rival the Focus' cleaver packaging the designers have provided storage specific to everything the average family is perceived to carry - cups, briefcases, umbrellas and sunglasses - all neat touches but I found, on my test drive, the whole effect to be a little too over organized for my liking. I have written this review mainly for families who are thinking of buying this car, so there is particular reference to relevant features. My particular P reg SRi came with the following features: 2 x front air bags Electric windows Electric sunroof Power steering/brakes Nissan Alloys Metallic paint 3 doors 2 x rear seatbelt and 1 x lapbelt ** Advantages ** This car is quite nippy and has 5 gears. I actually own one of these smart and lively vehicles.It is kitted out with electric windows,electric mirrors and a cd/tape player with column mounted control bar, which is very user friendly.The front of the player can be removed for security reasons as it is coded. It also boasts air conditioning which works extremely well. The boot is spacious and the rear split seats can be folded down to allow for larger loads.
