4 X 4, Crossover SUV - Four Wheel Drive (4x4) - 6 Speed Manual Gearbox - 2184 cc - Max Speed: 112 mph - 136 bhp - Diesel - Available Trims: SE, Sport, SVE, T-Spec
Advantages: Very spacious, cruises nicely Disadvantages: Sloooow to pull away and a dodgy fuel-gauge
The Almera I drive is a P-reg company vehicle that already had approaching 100,000 miles on the clock before I got behind the wheel.
Early impressions are mainly very positive, from the still-decent fuel consumption (though not so great around town) to the highly responsive power steering, via a more than adequate radio/cassette. Most striking of all has been the abundance of leg-room - the car appears capable of transporting a basketball ... ...While it cruises happily at 90 fully-laden, the diesel model is awfully slow to pull away from stationary. It is also hard to understand how a car can look so slinky viewed from the front and yet so big and ugly from the side. Finally, drivers need to be aware that the fuel-gauge is about as consistent as British weather.

Early impressions are mainly very positive, from the still-decent fuel consumption (though not so great around town) to the highly responsive power steering, via a more than adequate radio/cassette. There are negatives. While it cruises happily at 90 fully-laden, the diesel model is awfully slow to pull away from stationary. It is also hard to understand how a car can look so slinky viewed from the front and yet so big and ugly from the side. Finally, drivers need to be aware that the fuel-gauge is about as consistent as British weather.
Advantages: fast, nice shape, big inside Disadvantages: its a Nissan!
yeah i drive an almera GTi 97 2.0e etc... blah blah blah yeah sure its fast and everything but its also a big car with plenty of room inside, it can take 5 people easily and with a massive boot can fit almost anything, put the seats down and you can sleep in it (i should know - i have!!) 2 things though my CD player is crap (dont go for a SONY player) and i dont have air con (only draw back) but i would always recommend an almeria...thank you ...
