For the first month I had the most fun in my life being 21 I thought I was indestructible. I took too many risks but the sunny just loved to be driven hard. The levels of grip were amazing. On the limit you would have understeer lift off the throttle and the back would jump back in line and off you go again.

Remember I mentioned that it was for the first month that I had the most fun in my life???? Well after approximately one month The engine blew and when they go they go. It went into a garage for 3 months whilst they fixed various bits and bobs. Obviously its a lot more technical than that but hey ho! 3 months later and £4k lighter I drove my car out of the garage glad to have it back, but it was never quite the same.
To be honest that was it for me and my sunny fun. From then on something went wrong every couple of months and after a year of throwing money at it I had had enough....so what did I do? I flogged it to a friend. Now you may think that i am cruel for doing this but he was well aware of the issues I had had and got it for a very good price. Since he has owned it he has loved it and he has also spent thousands on it. it has 321bhp and is about 200kg lighter, it is a phenominal machine and just goes to show how easy it is to modify. Dont know what it is about Japanese 2.0ltr turbo engines but they are great.
Nowadays you can pick these cars up for approx £3odd thousand which is unbelievable. It may not handle as well as a scooby or evo but you will see less on the road. Performance wise they are amazing and you will embarass supercar owners, maybe not on a straight but hit the twisties and your laughing. Fuel consumption is a big boo with this car 18mpg was about average insurance is not the best (thats being polite) and parts are expensive.
This really is a marmite car, you either love it or hate. Do your research and dont go for the first you see and you could have some amazing fun.
even though i only had one month of fun out of it prior to never ending troubles my memories are fond. If you have the money to throw at it then do it If you dont then avoid like the plague!
...sunny Gti-r was inspired, by nissan who developed this car to compete with the Lancia Delta Intergarally in the world rally championships. The car was released in 1991 and only had 3 short years of production, making the latest model available a 1994. Equiped with a 2.0ltr turbo engine 4 wheel drive and a 0-60 time of 5.9secs. The 220bhp car is a dream to drive!! There is no real difference between the nissan pulsar and the nissan sunny the only ... ...the only difference being between the two is that the pulsar was manufactured in Japan where as the sunny was produced here in Britain. As far as buying one if uve got a spare £6000 approx, and appreciate a quick good handling car then i would recommend this one for you. The cars come equipped with air conditioning, power steering, ABS, and electric windows and mirrors. Insurance is a nightmare, with this car being a group 20 the insurance companies ...

Advantages: very tunable car light and 4wd makes it fast off the line Disadvantages: brakes are terribly underated for the power of the car.
...a close friend.
The nissan pulsar gti-r or nissan sunny gti-r as its called over here, is fitted with the same engine as the nissan 200sx s14 and s15 range, the very tunable sr20det engine, 2ltr 4 cylinder fitted with a t28 turbo.
the pulsar has a red top version of the engine with more power and a few differences over the 200sx version.
The pulsar also has a 100% 4wd system thats working all the time unlike the skyline gtr where its a part time ... ...and can be easily tuned to 300bhp and above on standard internals. the car doesnt come with many features appart from climate control on the imports. its a pretty light and basic car, but thats how it was designed light powerfull car.
only thing i though would be different was the brakes 1 pot brakes on the front and the back where as the cars with the same engine has 4 pots from and 1 pots back.
so brakes are a little underpowered for th such ...

Advantages: This car is light weight for quick pull off and is a turbo Disadvantages: the parts are exspensive
This car is possibly my favourite car of all time. It maybe a old car but this can still outdo plenty of cars on the road today. The GTI-R 1993 is possibly the best version of the series throughout the years and find it has quick accelaration and in it's advantage the light weight. The handling is very good but the brakes can be spongey after a bit of hard pressing. As for the looks and features this is the car to have, for the years it offers alot ... ...big bonnet vent to allow all of the hot air to arrise but it adds to the looks. This comes with a standard back spoiler which makes it look even more like a modified car. I give this car a ***** rating because this is a car that i enjoy and hope to own more. ...
