Not Intended To Remove One's MORS. Review with images

AdvantagesLethal product which can easily exterminate any unwanted neighbours

DisadvantagesDoesn't remove paint or varnish.

"“Is NITRO MORS somewhere in Yorkshire?” a Ciao chum asked mr-zeeman recently. No, NITRO MORS isn’t the wind-swept backdrop for a burst of Bronte-like angst, it’s a: Noxious Industrial Thing: Really Only Makes Objects Rather Sticky. And therefore not a substance which mr-zeeman would personally recommend to a fellow-D.I.Y-er. My own attempts at D.I.Y have been fairly incompetent to date. For example, a photo-copied insurance claim posted ..." Read review

Strip Those Layers Off Review with images

AdvantagesAmazing results

DisadvantagesCan be quite pricey, but it does the job, so personally, I have no complaints

"...and found that the name Nitromors was given a lot of faith, so at £6.98 for 1 litre I thought i'd give it a go. The product comes in a green metal container with a safety opening cap, so you can't accidentally open it and potentially cause a spillage. The claims made on the tin are that it is "tough on paint, kind to wood" - not that I would be applying this to wood - I have a separate heat gun for that purpose. It sounded ideal, in that it stated ..." Read review

peels paint in seconds

Advantagesgreat paint remover

Disadvantagesnone

"This product is absolutley fantastic for removing paint or gloss. It comes in a metal tin, you will understand why when you see how quickly it disolves things. To use this i brushed it streight onto my wood work in the hall to remove the gloss paint, it was quite thich as there was 40 years of paint in there so i had to re do the same areas a few times as this only removes about 3 layers of paint at a time, you brush it on and in less than 5 ..." Inneffective As A Paint Stripper.

AdvantagesNice pictures on the can !

DisadvantagesHorribly expensive & very inneffective.

"...that they have re-formulated it Nitromors has become almost totally inneffective for use as a paint stripper. The old product would strip paint almost as soon as it was brushed on, but this new formulation has to be 'dabbed' onto the paint & left for ages untill even a few blisters start to appear. I paid £8.35 for a 375ml can to strip paint from the glass of a glazed door, an easy job for the old product but this new stuff really ..." Read review

very noxious stuff

Advantagesnon drip; gentle on wood;

Disadvantagesslow; expensive; fumes cause severe nausea and headache

"As far as understand a solvent based stripper. These offer the most gentle form of paint removal as far as the wood is concerned. The principle dissadvantage I experienced was the effect of the fumes on my health. I felt very ill after using this product, severe nausea and headache. This was even after using the product exclusively outdoors. I would not use it again without a respirator rated to exclude the solvent fumes. I used a heat gun on the ..." Read review
