Advantages: Cool feeling, leaves skin feeling smooth, not greasy Disadvantages: Have to admit to using it without sunburn
This is a review for Nivea moisturising aftersun with AloeVera, which is the product (I guess) that replaced the vitamin E version. I could not find a suitable picture.
I am not one for cosmetics of any kind really though i am very prone to dry and peeling skin after being in the sun, so I thought that I had better invest in something before a recent holiday to mid South West France.
The temperatures were from 75 to 95 degrees F everyday for two weeks and I certainly caught the sun, my face and neck especially, even though i used factor 40 suntan lotion.
I used the aftersun every day at least twice a day and I have had no dryness, no peeling and the best skin condition and colour that I have had for years.
The large bottle (400ml) was free when I bought suntan lotion from Boots (BOGOF), very easy to apply, not at all greasy ...
Advantages: great healing properties Disadvantages: none
Aloevera plants are brilliant, easy to care for and have endless uses.
Aloevera plats as as pictured above but as they get older do grow a stem in the middle and flower. They can grow to about 100 cm tall but dont wory you will be cutting lots off it.
They need to have gravel in the bottom of the pot for drainage, and a soil/ sand mix of 50/50 to be kept best.
You cant keep your aloevera plant outside as it likes to be warm and you only need to water it when the soil drys up, about once a month for the 2 in my kitchen.
We first discovered the aloevera pant wholst on holiday, my dad and hubby had burnt that badly in the sun i was buying burns treatments from the chemist when the cleaner turned up with an aloevera plant for them, she told us to cut the leaves off, slice them open and rub the clear jelly from inside onto ...

Advantages: Really cools down skin, stops flaking Disadvantages: A tad expensive, but worth it!
I bought this aftersun in duty free whilst going on holiday. I also bought the sun lotion to match! As I am really bad at packing it was my fault for leaving my other sun lotions at home and I had to shell out for expensive sun cream and aftersun at the airport, but at the same time it is nice having the Clinique fancy stuff!
My skin is really sensitive so I have to be really careful in the sun and make sure that I apply lots of sun cream, sometimes though, as hard as I try not to, I do get burnt. Because of this I need a good aftersun lotion to use.
I really like this aftersun. I found that with the added aloevera in it, it really cools down my skin instantly which is really what I look for in an aftersun. I like something that cools my skin down and refreshes it since my skin gets really hot when its burnt or when I have ...
