Since getting seriously burnt while on a day trip to Weymouth (yes Weymouth, UK) I started to use the Nivea product range of after sun lotions. Not only did they cool my skin, and you can actually feel it cooling, but it puts that moisture back into the skin so that it prevents peeling. You would need to apply it daily of course, it is not a magic potion and will need regular use. It also helps to maintain your tan. I like products that does what it says and this is one of them. Nivea products are expensive but well worth the money to keep your skin healthy from the effects of the sun. As an example, my son came back from holiday and was peeling badly - hi sfather had not regularly used the after care lotion that I had sent with him. We were due to go to Florida the following week and I had to get his skin back into shape so as to not to spoil his upcoming holiday. So I put on th eafter care lotion morning and night and within that week his skin was nicely tanned and no sign that it ever peeled. (You usually get a lighter mark after peeling to the rest of the skin). If you only holiday in the sun once a year this is a must have product! And USE it!

My other half got really burnt whilst out fishing last Sunday, so yes you do get burnt badly in th UK (can you beleive it?) This stuff is really good.
