Advantages Lovely smell and soft skin. Possibly more !

Disadvantages Can't see when you are running out.

I have always been a martyr to dry skin, especially in the Winter when I have the scales out a dehydrated dragon. So apart from my 'special' dry skinned persons creams I have always had Nivea products in the house. I always use the simple Nivea cream in the blue round pot - you know the one!
This product was especially appealing as it is part of a Tescos special offer at the moment, 4 x 250ml shower gels for £3. I'm not a massive Tescos fan but what a bargain! I got some for the boys in the house too, butch dark blue stuff with eau d'engine oil fragrance, or something like that.

PACKAGING - as per the picture kindly provided by Ciao, very clean and simple in style. It is a fairly solid white plastic ( just to warn you, I am banning non bio-degradable plastic packaging when I rule the world) but still squeezable. The flip top is easy to open with wet hands but I would have liked a hooked shaped lid to hang it up on my shower. It would have been better if the plastic had been a bit transparrent so I could see when it was running low.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - on the front, 'Shower cream with bamboo milk & orange blossom scent' and on the reverse,'revitalising shower cream with caring bamboo milk'.
Hold on, bamboo milk? They have to joking, but then that's what Google's for isn't it?
Oh my maiden aunt!, you are NOT going to believe this one. Evidently
"Bamboo milk is an extract obtained mainly from the leaf stems of Bambusa vulgaris, and is said to be both a stimulant and an aphrodisiac." That would give you a happy time in the shower wouldn't it? This information had quite thrown me, I'm not quite where to go from here.

Ok, lets be professional about this. The packaging also tells me that the product is pH skin balanced, good to know it won't burn holes in your skin, and dermatological approved, by whom it is approved it doesn't actually say, could have been the Sales Directors cat for all we know. The product is to used within 12 months of opening and the pack displays the recycling symbol ( ha, ha, very funny - don't get me started!)

USING THE PRODUCT - I'm a bit nervous about this now. The smell really is lovely, a very gentle orangey smell that you would be quite happy to have hanging around all day. it would layer very well with citrussy or floral perfumes but I wouldn't use anything musky with it. It squeezed a bit faster than I was ready for onto my netty scrunchie thing that I use in the shower, I'm sure someone out there can tell me the right name. I loved the lather, it was luxuriant and plentiful. It is worth noting that I live in a very soft water area so don't sue me if you don't get exactly the same effect. A little does go a long way when you use a scruchie thing but this covered particularly well. After I had dried myself my skin did feel well hydrated and I had no dry patches afterwards. The smell lingered a good while, I kept getting little whiffs of it for much of the day.

I know what you are thinking and the answer is no more than usual! Take from that what you will, you will just have to try it for yourselves.

In conclusion. It is a very nice, moisturising product to use with a pleasant scent. I would use it again and would recommend it, especially at the offer price.
