Shaving Gels are great fun, a little blob on your hand that when applied to the face foams up like magic. Nivea sensitive shaving gel is no different in this aspect and it produces a really creamy and rich foam. I have found that I tend to use slightly less Nivea gel than when I use cheaper Gels.

So I was wrong on both counts, Nivea have more products now and some of which are for made exclusively with men in mind, Nivea sensitive shaving gel being one of them. This makes sense; skin is skin and suffers from the toils of day to day living, regardless of the sex of the person.
Shaving makes skin more sensitive, well it does more than that, it can make it sore and even bleed. After shaving skin can feel and look red, as well as shaving removing hair it also strips skin of its natural oils leaving it feeling dry and sometimes tender. Us poor men who choose to remove our facial hair have to suffer this on a daily basis, it's a hard life.
The first time I cam across Nivea sensitive shaving gel was when I unwrapped a birthday present.
Shaving Gels are great fun, a little blob on your hand that when applied to the face foams up like magic. Nivea sensitive shaving gel is no different in this aspect and it produces a really creamy and rich foam. I have found that I tend to use slightly less Nivea gel than when I use cheaper Gels. All in all I have found shaving gels a much more economical way to shave as I get more shaves per tin.
A word of warning here, make sure your face is very wet when putting it on, otherwise you end up with your face covered in a foam that is too thick and feels too dry when shaving. The best way to describe this is trying to shave with cold cream on your face.
Another word of warning, before using this make sure you have thoroughly cleaned your face first (soap and water or whatever facial/skin cleanser you use), this needs to be done to allow an even application of foam over your face as any greasy skin makes it a lot harder to get the foam on evenly. You can end up with parts of your skin not covered.
The aroma from this gel reminded me of the old Nivea cream and it is a smell that I quite like, because it is a delicate fragrance I have found that it does not clash with any after shave that I might choose to use.
After having completed my first shave using Nivea sensitive shaving gel I was pleasantly surprised as to how soft my skin felt, it felt as if I had used a face cream. I had no soreness or reddening of the skin. Even better was that using Nivea sensitive shaving gel over a period of time made my facial skin feel softer all day long, having a similar effect to using a face cream on a regular basis.
Also I have never suffered any allergic reactions or shaving rashes whilst using Nivea sensitive shaving gel.
Although this is not a cheap shaving gel, the quality of this product makes it worth every penny. To end up with a soft and not sore face has to be a major plus. For me this is a plus that I cannot ignore. When I take into account I use slightly less gel per shave then it brings down the cost slightly.
This is not a hint, but if I receive this for either a birthday present, then I will be a happy chap.

I purchased this product after recommendation from a friend who was suffering from the same symptoms as me! (burning sensation after a shave) I will never look back not only has it got a lovely fragrance which leaves you feeling refreshed and clean, it also has a cooling effect when shaving so theres no more burning.
This shaving gel comes in a 500ml bottle with an easy to squirt lid, which doesn't squirt out too much. It squirts out as a gel and ... ...large amount, so you only need a little squirt.It's also on offer at my local coop chemist for the bargain price of a pound!!! its normally £1.95 or there about. After using it your skin feels smooth and theres no need to apply a balm afterwards as its so good, it even makes shaving easier as the razor glides across, and it doesnt feel like scraping.
It is that good my girlfriend uses it on her legs when shaving and she says afterwards she doesnt ...

Everyone always thinks its girls that have problems shaving, trying all sorts of products to make it nicer to shave our legs etc… Everyone forgets about you men, my other half has a real problem when he shave’s, he always gets this rash no matter how new the razor is and I’m sure he isn’t the only one. Every time I go shopping I would always look for something that could help, I had bought a few things and they were ok but then I came across this ... ...with Menthol (though you can but it without menthol). On the bottle it says "Nuage for men shaving oil, is specially formulated with menthol and essential oils to give the closest shave possible and help leave your skin feeling cool, fresh and smooth". I thought I would get it and see how he feels…

...I thought I'd try some Nivea Gel. I've been a fan of thier aftershave balm so I thought why not give thier gel a go.
First impressions was that the Gel was very moisture rich a small grape sized amount lathered up nicely in fact you only really need a small amount as the gel is very rich. The smell is 'neutral' which is good as I was getting sick of Gillette fragrance although the light fragrance it does have sort of smells something like a baby ... ...other natural caring ingredients unlike Nivea and Gillette which felt very synthetic). I was instantly converted and threw my Nivea Gel in the bin despite only using 1/4 of the can. 2 months later... am still using King of Shaves gel.
I cannot stress enough how good King of Shaves Alpha gel is, and because it is a low foam gel you can see where you are shaving and the quality and result of this product surpasses Gillette and Nivea without question, ...
