Hi I'm back and raring to write on Ciao after a 3 month exam break, all of which I PASSED Yippee!! All the work was worth it so now for a summer of sun (?), fun and Ciao ;-)

Nivea Sun Lotion is very gentle to the skin. Indeed, it contains a moisturising element to it that protects your skin from elements other than those harmful sun rays! It has always been very gentle to my skin, a factor I hold very high in any skin product as I have sensitive fair skin and suffer from a ravaging eczema! Another thing about Nivea sun lotion is that it protects for a very very long time! You do not have to re-apply constantly or fear that the protection is wearing off if you are in the sea on some tropical island or even having a good old garden hose-pipe water fight! I was amazed at how long it protects for! No other product has ever before given me such a long protection, and I have not used another product since!
The product is well presented in simple yet elegant packaging, and it clearly states its sun protection factor. They offer a good range of SPFs which means it can appeal to many people and a range of skin types, including children and the elderly. The SPF 35 is excellent for my fair skin. The bottles are easy to pop into a side pocket of a handbag, beach bag or what have you.
However one problem I do have with the lotion is how thick in texture it is! It reminds me a bit of school PVA glue, and rubbing it in could be equated by some to applying PVA to your skin! It is hard to rub in as it is a heavy and somewhat greasy lotion. You have to get the application down to a fine art! Apply too much and you will be left with white streaks that take much more effort to rub in. However I think this slight disadvantage is part of the cost for such long protection, because once it is rubbed in it is rubbed in and it will remain on your skin protecting you for a long time. It has a pleasant summery smell too and you dont really need to wear any fragrences with it if you are applying all over. Applying it to the face can lead to a greasy complexion until it absorbs a bit more, so I would recommend applying to the face first and allow time before you apply makeup.
Thankfully Nivea sun lotion is easy to get hold of, on sale in most chemists and supermarkets. The product is quite expensive in comparison to some brands including supermarket brands. However, it lasts a long time, smells nicer than most other brands (in my opinion) and gives such excellent sun protection, Iw ould say that the product is very competitive for its price!
I would recommend this product to anyone.
