I never really know which sun cream to buy as we're constantly bombarded with different information but I have relatively olive skin so only need mild protection to stop me burning.
This was on offer in Boots at £4.39 so I decided to buy it ( its usually about £8) and it smelt the best which is important to me. A friend had told me that you should wear SPF 15 at all times but I wanted to get a tan and I don't burn easily so I brought SPF 8. I did notice that my skin felt very soft after application but this is the case with most sun creams isn't it? It definitely did the job because I was able to develop a nice tan without burning but I found that my skin became greasy after some time.
After I'd been in the sea the sun lotion appeared to still be working but the packaging said to reapply after going in the water so this is what I did. I have tried other sun lotions before such as Boots own brand Soltan. When I brought the spray on version of this I found it was too runny. This produst was thicker and more like a cream which I prefer. One thing I have noticed about this sun lotion is that a little goes a londg way. I used it all summer whenever I knew I would be in the sun for a long time and my 200ml bottle is still 3/4 full which is great. I can use it next summer as well.
The packaging is quite a bright blue with the Nivea Sun logo at the top the SPF is clearly labelled and the packaging advertises the fact that it blocks out UVA and UVB rays. On the back is all the information about the product such as what skin type it is uitable for and how often to reapply etc.
Whenever I smell this it still reminds me of the fantastic summer holidays. My advice would be buy this if you have dry skin as I’m sure it would be great for that but not for oily skin.
