The heat is on. Sun is merciless and on top of that the weather is absolutely dry. What one can do to counter this very unfriendly attitude of the weather god! The weather man is not friendly either, does not predict any rain to give at least a temporary relief. My girl friend suggested an outing in the beach, just coconut water and sand. But then what about protection against burning your skin and get a boiled up look? Again, we may be on the beaches but does that guarantee lot of wind? Then the spooky doctor says be careful, too much exposer to sunlight results in absorption of harmful rays of the sun and all that which might lead to horrible skin problems and skin cancer is not ruled out either.
So I asked the doc, then it’s better to do away with the idea of loitering around the beach should be done away with? You just can’t move around a beach dressed
like a hi fi executive, to be protected against the sun simply because this is a ridiculous idea. But he matter of factly refered to use something, may be a lotion or even a sun spray to take care of that!
Do you know what I did? I looked for some useful stuff just here at ciao, because I have some reasonably good reviews published up here and number of people said that their reviews are generally unbiased and best of to is that, they all review it with a good bit of personal experience.
I read as many helpful reviews as possible on these types of products. Ultimately my girl friend, and me decided on Nivea Sun Spray factor 10. We took an average and found that the Nivea Sun Spray factor 10 seemed to be the best. Now the problem is getting it. We got hold of factor 2, factor 8 and even factor 15 but not 10. As usual the counter guy was scientist as to why factor 15 or 20 will be better, sir? But I wanted keep the trust with my ciao guys. At last we did get one and happy we are.
For 200 ml bottle £11 + price, isn’t it pricey? Any way we decided to get it, but the deviation from others was immediately evident. The packaging was smart and the color scheme of both the container and the lead was very impressive. Dark blue body and a beautiful variation of yellow for the top. So far so good.
There were three apprehensions. 1. Does it make you feel sticky as you spray it ? Since it’s quite pricey is it worth it.? 2. Is it easy to use 3. How many application you require. But the ciao reviews were inconsistent in their observation on this issue other wise it was a perfect solution. What we thought sweat make you steaky any way, what is the problem if some more streakiness is added at least it is unanimous that it gives you good even sun tan, good fragrance, as with all Nivea product its same, not at all over powering but this is no exception but it smells naturally damn soothy. May be it is the branded ‘Natural” smell policy of Nivea.
I must say that this Sun Spray is very easy to use, water resistant, it has got both UVA, UVB filters an although I am a man who is very allergy prone (soft skin, I believe) but it’s application produced no signs of that dreaded, ugly looking red flare ups up there, as well. But I never thought it might reduce sweating and thus reduce body smell. Amazing it did reduce sweating to a considering degree and even the amount of sweating helped provide a bit of a cool feeling may be due to evaporation effect provided by Nivae Sun spray or it may have been all together psychological. But it was not steaky at all in fact after application I thought “My god what is this, it vanishes like anything, but it transpired that it was one of its quality. Spray and never feel that you put on something. Great. But it gave even tan considering my skin color even better for my girlfriends skin color. About protection against the ominous skin cancer it is very welcome, but effectiveness is to be corroborated.
But the only problem is that it needs to be used on regular basis and requires frequent application. Which is a bit of a draw back.
Overall, an excellent product and thank you again all you my colleagues at Ciao for those wonderful reviews.
It’s expensive but excellent SUN SPRAY. I’ll buy it again.
