I've always had trouble finding any sort of cleanser, moisturiser or even a simple wash for my face as I have very sensitive skin. I had slightly bad skin when I was a teenager and it wasn't until I stopped using facial products that I realised it was mainly due to what I was putting on my skin. When I went travelling last year I took no make up or cleansing products with me and my skin was completely spot and blemish free. However, when I came back and began using facial products again, my skin flared up. Since then I've tried quite a few different brands and products but with no luck - they all seem to have the same effect of making my skin worse so I eventually stopped bothering and would just wash my face with water.
But, unfortunately, I also have combination skin and lately it's been drier than usual so I thought I'd try out a different moisturiser for a few days to see if it had any effect.

It comes in a small and cute little white plastic 100ml pot with a pale blue twisty lid which comes in a paper box. The pot is the perfect size as it can easily fit in any make up case or bag if you want to carry it around or to take on holiday.
The cream is suitable for normal and combination skin and is said to hydrate and regulate shine for a fresh skin feeling. It has a light and oil free texture which is fast absorbing - when first put on the face it does look very greasy but after only a couple of minutes there is no shine or grease left at all and make up can be put straight on top. It is a smooth and liquidy white fluid containing Witch Hazel and Allantoin which provides moisture and hydration for the dry areas of skin and Mattispheres which regulate production of the oily zones so that the skin is fresh and shine free. Reading the back of the pot I did think to myself is this actually going to work because usually I find it to be a load of garbage, but this actually works the way it says it does. I have noticed that my skin is a lot less shiny - usually by midday my face often feels very greasy and I need to top up my powder a few times throughout the day, but since using this I haven't had that greasy feel or look to my skin and I don't find myself needing to top up the powder hardly at all. I'll only top it up if I'm going out later on in the evening but otherwise I only now put any powder on in the morning. Unfortunately, I can't say that it's as good at controlling the dryness as it is at controlling the shine. It does smooth the surface of any dry patches of skin to make it feel a lot softer and fresh, but this doesn't last for very long and I do find myself feeling slightly dry areas on my face later on in the day.
The best thing about this cream though is that it hasn't had any negative effects on my skin. I haven't come out in any spots or blemishes and my skin is just as soft and clean as it was beforehand but now much better with much less shine.
It costs £3.72 and is currently in a 3 for 2 offer in Boots on selected Nivea facial skincare products so I'm definitely going to head down to Boots to pick up a few more of these and see what else the brand has on offer. This is by far the best moisturising cream that I have come across (and I've used a few). It does exactly what it says on the pot and is perfect for those with combination or shiny skin.

I found Nivea Visage Oil-Free Moisturising Fluid in my local branch of Boots. It cost a reasonable £3.72 for 100ml. I felt this was good value for money as even a 100ml bottle or pot of moisturiser usually lasts me at least 6 months if not longer. I don't let packaging influence my decision when buying toiletries or cosmetics, but the lotion is presented nicely in a white bottle with a slightly translucent blue lid, which in turn ... ...common with most of the Nivea skin care products. It has a 'thin' texture which hints at a nice non-greasy moisturiser. As instructed, I massaged the lotion into my face using an upward circular motion. The product wasn't especially quickly absorbed, which disappointed me a little, and I didn't think my complexion looked especially matte afterwards. However, my skin did feel moisturised. I applied foundation and powder as usual. As I was doing so, ...

Some moisturising creams can be too heavy and tend to sometimes just sit on your skin, and are not very easily absorbed. Some are far too thick and greasy and always clog pores and cause spots. I, unfortunately, have had too many of these. I was just about to give up trying other products, and get a friend with the same skin type to recommend something, but then i tried this. This moisturising fluid is oil free but still manages to hydrate the skin. ... ...give moisture to your skin. In fact it is quite different. It creates a barrier which stops moisture being lost from your skin, which means that oil is not necessary, other ingredients create a barrier just as effectively. This moisturiser contains a combination if allanton and witch hazel which creates a barrier which will hydrate your skin but without clogging your pores. This makes it especially useful for oily skin as it wont add to your natural ...

... ...a big fan of the Nivea body lotion so was expecting the same richness from this fluid. I really feel that Nivea should re-categorise this fluid in to their oily skin range as I'm sure that this would be great for helping 'dry' out or combat shiny, greasy areas. If this had been in the oily skin range I wouldn't have tried it as I just don't have that skin type.
After an hour or so, I actually washed it off my face and applied my trustworthy E45 ...

...I liked until I tried NIVEA Oil Free Moisturising Fluid.
I use this morning and evening and it has really made a difference to the complex of my skin. So much so that a number of people recently have told me how healthy I look - something which has never happened before.

*The Ingredients*
This is a difficult one! The bottle comes in a box (which I have thrown away) and I am not sure whether the ingredients are printed on the box. All that is printed on the bottle is that it contains Witch Hazel and Allantoin.
If you are allergic to any particular ingredients that may be in this I advise you check the box ...

Nivea visage have produced an effective oil free facial moisturiser that manages to feel light and softening without causing excess shine..
The fluid comes in a white bottle, with white lid, with silver trim. The usual nivea visage symbol on the front in a blue and navy square. It is recommended for daily use. The bottle is 100ml and with daily use on face and neck areas, lasts a couple of months or more.

your average moisturiser but thicker in consistency than most cleansers.
* SMELL
The cleanser smells somewhat like Nivea sun lotion. It is quite pleasant and much milder than traditional Niveamoisturiser.
* PERFORMANCE
The bottle tells you to apply the cleanser with cotton wool and wipe clean or rinse off with water. I prefer to apply a small amount (about the same size as a 5 pence coin, or 10 pence if I need a more thorough clean) with my fingertips, smoothing it over my neck and upwards over my face, avoiding the eyes. A few seconds later I rinse with warm water. It rinses off easily and I pat my face dry with a towel.
Nivea recommend that you follow this with their Day or Night creme but I use NiveaVisageOilFreeMoisturisingFluid, which accompanied it in my gift set.
* DOES IT WORK?
I was skeptical about whether this ...

- Introduction, Price Paid & Basic Info. -
I decided that I wanted to do a review on this item as I came across it almost by accident and having started to use it recently, ive been surprised by how good it seems to be.
I purchased a 200ml bottle of new Simple Derma Intensive Relief (for very dry, sensitive skin prone to eczema and dermatitis) Lotion about a month or so ago, after looking for my usual moisturiser (NiveaVisageOilFreeMoisturisingFluid) and not being able to find it in stock on the high street. This was the closest equivalent that would suit my skin, which has very dry patches and can be somewhat sensitive, so I begrudgingly decided to give it a go, as a replacement for the Niveamoisturiser.
I bought it in a branch of the Savers store and, if I remember right, it cost about £3.49. It comes in a somewhat ...
