...Amongst them were a few Nivea Visage Young samples, including the 'be beautiful!' tinted moisturiser.
Now I don't know much about the Nivea Visage Young range - obviously it is aimed for younger skin, but I'm not sure if it's aimed at teenagers, or women in their twenties, so I don't know what they deem to be young. For the record, I'm 23 (nearly 24 - it's so depressing) so I'm not sure if this is aimed at women of my age or not. ...- I have checked the Nivea website and can't see different shades listed there which is a bit strange. It does say however, that the 'skin refining tinted pigments' will adapt to your natural skin colour. Even so, being very pale this worried me.
Now normally this would come in a tube although I have sachets as it was a sample. The tube is pale blue with a flip top lid and has a fairly nice floral design along one side.

Tinted Moisturiser is something I have always wanted to like, but never really got on with. I don't really like wearing heavy foundations as I always feel a bit like I've been painted, however I have yet to find a tinted moisturiser that I like.
I am trying to de-clutter my flat (although it's going quite slowly, and I keep filling it with more beauty products) and I came across a big bag of samples that I had forgotten about. Amongst them were a few Nivea Visage Young samples, including the 'be beautiful!' tinted moisturiser.
I'm told that the product is suitable for normal or combination skin. It has an oil-free formula which does not clog pores and also a UVA/UVB filter system to protect from the sun. As far as I can see this only comes in one shade - I have checked the Nivea website and can't see different shades listed there which is a bit strange.
So, squeezing the moisturiser out, I did think it looked a bit too dark for my skin. Nevertheless, I carried on, and smoothed it over my skin. It has a nice consistency - not too thick or too runny, and I found that it blended easily and only a small amount was needed to cover my entire face.
The colour once blended did tone down a bit, but as I said, I am very pale, so I did think it looked a tiny bit too dark for my skin tone. My skin did look a bit more awake though and seemed to look glowing. I think, had the colour been a bit paler, it wouldn't have looked like I was wearing make-up as it didn't look caked on at all.
The problem for me came about 10 minutes after I had applied it. The skin on my face began to feel tight and itchy, and I became really worried I was going to have some horrendous reaction to it. I decided to be brave and left about another 10 minutes to see if it would go away, but it didn't, so eventually I ran to the bathroom and washed it off. Even after I had washed it off, my skin stayed feeling itchy for around half an hour, although luckily it didn't look any different.
I believe I have seen this product in Boots, although I am unable to confirm how much it costs from there. The only place I can find it online is www.paydenspharmacy.co.uk where it costs £5.02.
So, obviously because I seemed to have a reaction to this, and also because the colour was too dark for my milk bottle white skin, I will not be buying this product. If you have mid-tone skin which is not sensitive, you may find this to be OK, but it's definitely not for me.

Review of Nivea Visage Young Be Beautiful Tinted Moisturiser
Advantages: fresh, light and smells good Disadvantages: dark colour
...What is it?
========
Nivea have created a new product aimed at the younger skin to be used instead of foundation make up. Their Be Beautiful Tinted Moisturiser aims to moisturise the skin whilst adding some colour. It's not a new idea though and I have been using Boots Natural Collection Moisture Tint for years, which is available in more than one shade. Nivea's product is meant to adapt to the wearer's skin tone so therefore different shades are ... ...claims

Nivea Visage Young-be beautiful tinted moisturiser, First off I aint' young but I thought I'd try this one out anyway! I'm 26 in fact and feel very young at heart so I guess that counts eh?
I love the Nivea range of products, they alway's seem to do what they promise and to be kind to skin. I wanted to try-out a face skin tinted moisturiser for the summer, so here it is in a nutshell:
Price: I purchased this one in Boots for £4.99 for a 75ml tube ... ...you pay though!
Product: Nivea state that this product has 'skin refining pigments, which adapt to your natural skin tone for an even, radiant complexion'. Basically it's a 'tinted day cream especially designed for young skin that moisturises and refines the skin in one step'. Advantages: gives skin moisture without making it greasy Disadvantages: only comes in one shade - wouldn't be suitable for pale skin
...miracles!
The first Nivea cream was put on the market by a german company called Beierdorf the name Nivea comes from the latin word 'Nivius' meaning 'snow-white. That was back in 1911 and they have been doing it ever since. (Just abit of trivia for you just in case your interested)! So yet again i think Nivea have come up trumps with this. I have mostly been happy with the products i have tried and lets face it they have been doing it so long they ...

Advantages: Excellent moisturiser, lightweight, ease/time of use Disadvantages: Variable colour across the face
...has kept calling to me- Nivea Visage Young Be Beautiful Tinted Moisturiser (what a mouthful!). Personally I find that some days I just can't be bothered slapping on a load of foundation just to pop down to the shops/pub/library/etc. Yet, using a plain old moisturiser just won't be enough for my ultra washed-out natural complexion. Therefore, I put it upon myself to save up the hefty £19.50 for the Benefit 'You Rebel' Tinted Moisturiser. However, ... ...face cream. Thankfully, this new Nivea product on the shelves caught my attention at a much more pocket-friendly price. So, I bought it.
The Packaging:
On the shelves the product is packaged up in a neat little rectangular box that echoes the same colour scheme of the tube itself. This 75ml tube-, which is approx. 14cm long- has a professional yet eye-catching design. At the top it is a sky blue colour and slowly changes to that of a pale Caucasian ...

Advantages: Moisturises your skin and gives you a natural glow Disadvantages: None
...used a lot of the Nivea Young range before, including the cleanser, toner, moisturiser and exfoliator. So when I saw the advertisements on TV for a tinted moisturiser I thought it sounded like a good idea and I decided to buy it.
I liked the fact that it was not just a moisturiser but it worked as a foundation as well.
The bottle comes in a box and I would say it is reasonably priced at around £4.95, depending on where you buy it. In Superdrug ... ...which I liked.
The Nivea young range is aimed at teenagers and young women in there early 20's, but I'm sure this product would work well on older women as well.
Another advantage is that the bottle lasts for ages, I've been using the same one for about 4 months. However, I suppose ot depends on how much you use. I only apply it once a day.
I would definitely recommend this product, Nivea is a reliable range and I will be buying this product again ...
