The exfoliator is a pale blue colour and you can see the bits in it straight away, ... ...fairly big but there aren't a lot of them per squirt, although I would say there are enough. I do find I have to be more generous with this though as it doesn't spread that well across my skin and because it isn't very concentrated you do need to use quite a bit. It smells really fresh, like a cucumber type smell mixed with a lotion kind of smell. I really like the smell and it also has a cooling effect on the skin, which combined make it a really ... more
It's only now when I'm thinking back to when I bought this that I've realised how long ago it was, yet I still have it in my bathroom with half the bottle left! It was probably about 2 years ago that I bought it, and I have used it on and off around others. You can find it in most toiletry stores like Boots or Superdrug, and it retails at around £4.20 at full price but I'm sure I bought it while it was on offer.
Packaging…
It comes in a 75ml squeezy bottle. The lid is at the bottom of the bottle which means it is always easy to get the scrub to come out and none is wasted when it gets empty. The design on the bottle has actually changed since I bought mine. The one I have is a clear bottle with a frosted effect but you can still see the colour of the contents. The scrub itself is blue and the label is made to match this with blue lettering on the front of the bottle. Now the bottle is a peach colour and the writing is in dark blue or orange. Both designs look good, but I personally prefer the original design, well at least the colours. The blue colours make it look really fresh, which suits any skincare products.

The exfoliator is a pale blue colour and you can see the bits in it straight away, as they are a darker blue colour. The bits are fairly big but there aren't a lot of them per squirt, although I would say there are enough. The exfoliator is quite rough, enough to feel like it is working but not too rough. I have fairly sensitive skin and I did find it a bit too rough for me and had to be careful whilst rubbing it in. But I think it would be fine for people with normal skin, which it is designed for. Whilst using the scrub the lotion mixed in with the bits does do it's job at soothing the skin, but then quite soon after I found it started to sting slightly. I'm not sure if this is because it contains harsher ingredients designed for teenage skin to combat spots etc but I just found it too much for my skin. Again I think maybe it would be fine for normal skin. It is easy to wash off, and despite is stinging a bit while it is on my skin, once I wash it off my skin always feels fine and it never stings afterwards or leaves my skin red or sore. Therefore I'm suite sure I'm not allergic to it, I just think some of the ingredients might be quite strong.
After using it like I said my skin does stop stinging and it does actually feel quite soft, yet I still feel the need to use a moisturiser afterwards, but I would do this anyway.
If I were to use it constantly as my exfoliator twice a week I don't think the bottle would last that long, maybe about a month - 2 months as I do use quite a lot at a time. Whereas other exfoliators I have tried that are more concentrated would last more about 3-4 months. However I still think it is good value for money because it is a lot cheaper that other face scrubs, especially if it is on offer.
Overall Opinion… I think it is a good value face scrub which is worth the money you pay for it. I wouldn't advise it for anyone who considers their skin to be sensitive, however it is maybe worth a try if you have normal skin. I do think it is a good product but it just didn't react that well with my skin.
Advantages: make your skin feel soft and fresh Disadvantages: You have to use a good moisturiser for sensitive skin
In my opinion Nivea has excelled themselves once again! I recently wrote a review on the Nivea young tinted moisturiser out of this range and i am just as impressed with this exfoilating scrub so i felt the need to express my opinion again. THE RANGE
The range consists of Facial Wash, Deep clensing facial wash with lactic acid microbeads, (though i haven't a clue what that means)!, Exfoilating scrub (which i am now reviewing) , Toner, Control it ... ...smell - a typical Nivea smell, like their moisturisers. It is a pale blue cream with pure ocean minerals which are in the form of small green and blue balls (exfoliator). It comes in a queezy, plastic tube and the packaging is simple looking, classic to Nivea.
SENSITIVITY
If you have sensitive skin like have i would strongly recomend a good moisturiser. My skin tends to be most sensitive in the winter and would not recommend you use the control ...

Advantages: OIL FREE, Reduces Red Skin, Reduces Oil, Cheap Disadvantages: Doesnt Come In 1L Containers!
Nivea what a good brand amongst Moisturizers, Clear up Strips and last but CERTAINLY not least Exfoliating Scrubs in the Nivea Young range. I have very sensitive mixed skin, I'm prone to everything from Dry/Flakey Skin to Blotchy patches and Red irritated Skin. Of course this lead to that I used to have big problems with Adult Acne until I found what worked for me. I tried Neutrogena for months but without avail, it only served to worsen my problems. ... ...DESCRIPTION / APPLICATION
Nivea Young Scrub Away Exfoliation Scrub, with pure ocean minerals oil-free.
On the tube it says use 2:ce a week, I have however found it is gentle enough for use whenever a situation so calls. I use it every 2 days normally and Daily during "that" one week a Month.
The scrub has a soft white/light blue creamy texture with soft granules. You either prepare your skin by applying a towel soaked in hot water (Use own judgment), ...

Advantages: Gentle on sensitive skin Disadvantages: Pricey
I love this scrub! I have sensitive, slightly dry skin, which means that most scrubs are much too coarse and leave my skin feeling tight and dried out. This has small white granules which are very gentle, and an emollient creamy blue base which moisturizes well. I wash off with warm water and a washcloth (maybe that's why I don't get the film other people are talking about). This stuff makes my skin baby soft and clears it up. I'm definitely going ...
