I bought this phone for my 75 year old Nanna as she wanted a simple mobile phone that just made and received calls. Obviously in this day and age that is very hard to find, so I have to say hats off to Nokia for keeping their simple, low cost handsets on the market.
The handset comes in three colours, black, white and blue and has xpress on covers to change its appearance. It is a simple candy bar shape and is very comfortable to hold and use.
It is a dual band, which is low compared to the latest tri and quad banders, but is enough for many very basic users.
The phones menus are easy to navigate and quick to use. It has an LCD screen which does scratch easily if not cared for. It has an icon based phonebook which is very simple to use and stores all contact information nicely.
Features wise it has SMS with predictive messaging. The user can "snaz up" the SMS messages using LOGO's etc. It also has a clock, alarm, timer, reminders and stopwatch. All of which are simple to use.
Other nice features are polyphonic ringtones, a ringtone composer, MP3 ringtones, Handsfree and a speaking clock and alarm (which we still do not understand how to use.)
The phone has 3 games, Snake Xenzia Game, Dice Game and Pocket Carrom Game. None of which we have bothered to use as my Nanna doesnt need them.
The phone doesn't have a large amount of memory so storage needs to be kept to a minimum. Battery life for both talk time and standby are excellent.
All in all an excellent phone for anyone who doesn't require all of the bits and bobs that make up a top of the range phone. Simple, easy to use and best of all very low priced.

The Nokia 1110i also has a number of cost management features, including support for the Nokia Prepaid Tracker to help people monitor their phone usage, as well as other technological features, which reduce the total cost of mobile ownership for consumers.
