It is, however, a highly amusing phone nowadays. It still has most of the features of modern phones, and it is particularly reliable and durable (models around today have been working for six or seven years)
I own one of these phones and still use it on a regular basis. It has nine menu features-

Although, being around for six years means that it does have some very bad parts. Unfortunately, it emmits large amounts of radiation, which is off-putting to many buyers. It has no picture messages, the screen is very small and it does not have very strong reception.
But, if you simply want a mobile phone so that you can phone people on it and nothing more, this is perfect. Also on the plus side, its battery can be recharged by solar power, and it is quite strong. I bought my 1611 for just less than £5 and for that it has to be worth it.
If you are not afraid of the embarrasment it will cause you, the microwaves, and the large weight, I recommend it.
