Advantages Extremely cheap, durable

Disadvantages does not suport internet facility, apps and 3g network.

Review summary
I tried to mention all important points based on my experience. Hope these helps you make a good buying decision.
I have been using Nokia N97 for a long time. The phone was working fine but sadly I lost it. I had to replace it immediately as I had a lot of important call to make. I went to the nearest phone shop I could find and bought the cheapest phone available.

Performance

First of all let me tell you about what's in the box. You get a phone, a battery, a charger, a ear phones and the user guide

There is not much to mention about the performance of the phone as it does not support apps, no Wi-Fi, no 3g connectivity and no internet browsing. The home screen of the phone has a wallpaper. You can switch between few wallpapers that are on the phone's memory as it does not support memory cards. You cannot store any images or videos as the phone's internal memory is too small and the phone cannot communicate with any other device as it does not have any bluetooth or computer connectivity option. The phone supports a max of 500 entries in phone book and keeps a record of last 20 missed call, dialled call and received call. The reception quality of the phone is quite as I get network connectivity even at basement. The biggest problem that I face is while receiving calls the sound level is too low even at max volume.

Display

The display of the phone is really small measuring only 1.8 inch and it can display colours. The resolution is really bad and you can see the individual pixels even from a distance. The display is very shiny so it reflects a lot which can be problem while using the phone outdoors specially under the sun.

Design

The design of the phone is quite nice compared to the price. The phone is quite thick measuring 15.3 mm. The whole body is made up of plastic. The letters of the buttons of the phone has backlit which makes it easy to type in the dark. The buttons are made up of shiny plastic. The phone is very firm and strong. It didn't break even when it fell from the second floor of my apartment!

Other features

The phone has a torch built into it which gets activated and deactivated when you press the cancel button twice. The light of the torch is quite intense compared to its size. The phone supports FM radio but you have to connect the ear phones to use it as the receiver is built into the ear phones. The phone supports games but you can play only the games that are pre installed. My one came with three games pre installed. They are "Bounce", "Forbidden treasure" and "Snake Xenzia" and out of these the best one is bounce in which you have to cross checkpoints using a ball.

Buying guide

This phone can keep you in touch with your friend, family, relatives etc. as it only supports calling and texting. The phone is really cheap compared to its facilities but don't expect to get very amazed by it's features. If you want to run application, browse the internet and want a lot more features than you are better off with a smart phone. Some ordinary phones also supports apps and internet browsing so they also might be worth buying.
