There a lots of good cheap Nokia phones out there.
The Nokia 2310 doesn't fall in to either of these categories.
To start, the look of the phone, it's predominantly white and therefore very easy to get dirty. Secondly, the horrible, HORRIBLE silver directional pad in the middle. It looks like it's going to fall off, like the blu-tac will give way any second!! It really does look like it's made of tin foil, in all fairness the slightly more rigid version that you would find holding together Mr Kiplings latest batch of Bakewell Tarts......
.......this phone isn't any where near as tasty though.
You think Nokias...you think lovely, easy menu system, you can use one, you can use them all!! Right??!! WRONG. The usual menu system has been replaced with something alien and that may very well work, if only the screen was twice as big. Quite simply, it's horrible and fiddly.
The quality of screen is also quite poor, limited colours adds to the phones' "cheap factor". It really does feel like a budget phone that you would have bought about 3 years ago and might have been happy with.
Yes, this is supposed to be a simple does the job phone, but even for a simple text message, the screen is squashed, not at all user friendly.
It does have the basics, text messaging, an FM Radio, a couple of games, alarm clock, fairly good battery life, 5 hours talk time, 350 hours standby time.
Maybe Nokia tried too hard??!?!? Was I expecting a lot more from this handset?? No. I was expecting the same amount, but just in a lot more accessible package and a friendlier shell. There are cheaper Nokia phones out there to be had that will do exactly the same job for you and be ten times easier to use. I would recommend any of those instead. Alternatively, read my review of the Sony Ericsson K310i, same price, same functions, if not more! And runs a lot better, even if you are used to the operation of Nokia's and have never used a Sony Ericsson in your life!
Enjoy your phone......but not this Nokia No-Go.
Any questions, please send me a message!!!

what do expect for a cheap budget phone!! I have seen reviews on other sites where it beggar belief why stupid stupid people leave bad reviews cos they expect all singing and dancing facilities on budget phones. They should read the spec before they buy!
Anyway, I purchazed this phone for £35 which included £20 free airtime vouchers plus £5 on the new SIM. The phone therefore only cost £10 -£15. Compared with the NOkia 1112 - it is a bargain. I have no proble with this phone once you accept that it is at the bottom end.
