After Nokia released the models 2760 and 2630 is the Nokia 2600 classic. These models are an attempt to capture the market with features like blue tooth , video,GPRS and mp3 support and is also on the lower price range. The 2600 classic is the newer and more modified version of the earlier 2600. This version has more facilities and functions and is much slimmer. It has got quite an attractive look with an extra panel that comes along with the pack, which I think is great. The LCD is bigger than the previous one and comes along with a headset that features an FM radio too. The battery is however unsatisfactory. You need to charge up to two times a day if you listen to music or play games. It doesn't have a music player but can play mp3 and amr formats. It has only 10 MB inbuilt memory and doesn't have expandable memory. You can store upto 10 mp3 songs after compressing it. + Buy the Phone at your own risk + I bought this phone in october, and i am regretting my decision now.
The reason why i disliked it so much is because it has certain flaws. I'll try to deal with all one by one.
1. The place to put the SIM card very uncomfortable. It could take up to Five minutes. Unlike other phones where there SIM is under the battery. 2. You even have to work hard to remove the battery cover. My nails have started to pain.
... ...the plastic body make irritating squeaking sounds, same is the case when we try ti type any number, it sounds as if the plastic will break.
4. OK, now when you want to listen to radio, there is no direct volume control. You have to go to the options->Volume to change it. It is very uncomfortable.
5. Even you have to wrestling with the headphone. because you can never connect it properly 6. When walking in sun, you can hardly make out whats written ...

Nokia classic 2600 is a combination of slim design, attractive look and pure value for money. I find it one of the slimmest phones and loaded with reasonable features like.

One more thing I want to add that still the camera is a VGA camera but the picture quality is great.
Yes, since the model has a very slim body so you can face some problem in inserting the sim and opening the back cover but it is acceptable.
The mobile looks very attractive. When I bought this mobile in India it has a extra set of mobile case.

...to win my heart won Nokia 2600c. 1. This phone really has camera! But it's not so good I thought. It capture good photo only on the street, not home, where shots are greased. You can find video camera in Nokia 2600 . 10 sec length - it's very-very bad for me, maybe for you to. Also there is night shot feature.
2. I am not satisfied with alarm. You cannot neither change a name of it, nor create multiple alarms. 3. There is a middle button. Pressing ... ...was no 65536 color tones. Nokia 2600c has it and even more!
6. I fluctuated between other gadget and my contemporary "friend". Why Nokia won? Because of its radio feature. I set about ten radio stations, I heard it with headphones or with louder. Radio on the mobile phone is cool!
7. No USB support. To upload new media you must to go to the GPRS Internet or to 'bluetooth' your Nokia with friend's device. No IR port - not bad, I think.

Nokia have always been great at producing good, reasonably priced low end phones, for example the 3210 / 3310 / 3330 phones are amongst the most popular phones ever so why have they released this?
The 2600 is a basic phone with the classicNokia menu system, which cannot be faulted as it is probably the most logical, easy to use menu system any phone manufacturer uses. It is a no frills phone, it can be used to call, send texts, play a few games and not a whole lot else, although it does have a colour screen.
The phone retails at between £99 and £129 sim free, but who wants to pay that much for a phone as basic as this one? For those just wanting a basic Nokia phone can buy the 1100 or the 3510i for around £40-£50 less, both of which have more useful features than this phone.
