My old trusty Siemens A50 is a great phone, but he was looking a bit tried and shoddy, and then some wonderful people offered me this baby for free, this makes me happy. Ok I am now signed up to a contract but it will work out cheaper as I was chucking in 30 quid worth of top ups a month, such is my popularity these days.

Anyways onto the phone and like all phones it takes and makes phone calls. The speaker quality is good and since I never need to call myself I cannot evaluate the microphone. I believe in talking to myself in the good old fashioned way. The Address book works and you can group numbers and stuff into groups if you so desire.

It takes text and multimedia messages (whatever they are), and one thing I don't like is that I have to download ringbones from the Internet, using the WAP facility this is potentially expensive. With my old Siemens phone it would come attached to the message and would be downloaded through that.

The WAP facility on the phone uses GPRS technology this means that you are charged by the second for Internet access, which is significantly better than my old Siemens. The colour screen also means that I do not have to look at pixelated porno ever again, not that I did in the first place.

You also have the ability to change your phones profile, which means you can make it loud and really annoy people heh heh heh heh.

It has the facility to be connected to a separate camera, but since I already have a digital camera this is of fleeting interest.

The thing that really interests me cause I like plugging things into my computers USB port is that you can do just that. The function of this is to download ringtones, graphics and screensavers, as well as synchronising Calendars. The last one there is of awesome importance to me cause I can never remember Birthdays, and other such so called important dates, so I can set a reminder and then call the lucky person. They will then be so totally surprised that I have remembered their special day they will forget that I have not gotten them a present. There is also software that you can download from Nokia.com that gives you the ability to compose your own ringtones, and create backgrounds yourself. This requires a Data link cable and it costs £29-99 so I am not getting it yet but I will tell you all about it when I do. This gives me a new medium to compose music for though hah hah hah hah, commuters beware.

Right then I promised that I'd never have a colour screen on a phone or a lot of other things that this phone has, but it was free with the contract and it flashes and glows in the dark as well. After 3 days usage I like it is small compact comfortable and more importantly it takes and make phone calls.
