1. It is cheap,in that they are virtualy given away.
2. Loads of people have them, and so you dont look a pilock with one.
3. The are easy to use, you don't need to be a 14 year old to understand them( like video recorders!)
4. The seem very robust, I've dropped mine loads of times.
5. The predictable text is great, it stops that stupid jargon. However the number selection procedure is poor.
6. It is a good size, and slips int a pocket well. however it is a little heavy for a shirt pocket.
7. I have had a problem recently with one of the buttons not responding at times, especially when sending texts.

To the vain out there if you want to be differnt, all you need to do is change the face.
