The nokia 3210 is a very stylish phone. When you buy it on prepay you get a metallic blue colour cover, with a black back.
The main screen of the phone. Has bars displaying the power left in your battery and the reception. In the middle there is a little orange logo. However this can be replaced by operator logos , so you can customise your phone. The size of the phones screen is a reasonable 2.5cm by 3.5cm. The ear holes are like little arrows pointing down and there is a nokia logo below them.
On the main menu there are 9 options · Phone book · Messages · Call register · Settings · Games · Calculator · Clock · Tones
Phone book: The nokia 3210e has 100 spaces that you can use for phone numbers.
You can view your address book in three different styles: · Name and number: View the persons name and number on the same screen. · Large font: Says the name of the person(one name per screen) pressing the hash key will reveal the persons number. · Name list: This is just one long name list pressing hash. Will reveal the persons selected number.
You can set eight different speed dials and you can also search your address book from this screen. You can also assign ringtones to particular people in your address book so you can tell who is calling you by the ringing tone
Messages: The 3210e’s keypad is great for text messaging. All the buttons are easy to press. The 3210e has predictive text typing. This means that the phone will try and guess what word you are spelling, You would be surprised how accurate it is.
All new messages are sent to your inbox. From hear you can save them to your outbox and edit them. The nokia 3210 also allows you to download pictures off the net and have them sent to your phone. You can also send messages to pagers as well. You can also enable delivery reports. Which tells you when someone has opened up your text message. Also because the phone is a nokia you can make up funny text messages out of dots and dashes.
Call register: In this section you can see what calls you have received, what calls you have missed and the duration of all your calls. Not much to be said about this section.
Setting: In this section you have all the general settings for your phone. Such as weather or not you want to with hold your number and weather you want the speed dialling on or not. You can also set welcome notes and change the language of your phone here.
Games: There are three different games you can play: 1)snake: You have to race around picking up little bits of food to make your snake bigger. But whatever you do don’t hit yourself or the walls or the game is over. 2)Rotation: rotate the numbers on the screen around so that they are in order. This is harder then you would think. 3)Memory: This is basically a game of pairs
You can also have to other games on your phone unlocked. However you need a data cable and the right program to do so. You may be able to get them unlocked on the market.
Calculator: All the basic things s calculator should have. This calculator is quite hard to use. However is better then you brain when it comes to adding up long complicated things.
Clock: In this section you can set and change the time and date. You can also set the alarm. WARNING: the alarm will go off even if your phone is switched off.
Tones: There are 38 tones that come custom to the phone. You can also Make up one in the composer and receive a tone made up in your friends composer. The nokia composer is a ringtone maker. You can get codes off of websites to make cool sounding ones. You can also set the tone for when you receive a text message. The other option is that you can change how load your phone will ring.
Answer phone: It is a basic answer phone. You can send voice mail from here. You can also set your personal greeting. Or you can download a greeting off the Internet. Now when my phone is switched off homer simpson answers it.
Prices: Text messages cost 10p each. Calls to your answer phone cost 10p a minute. Picture messages cost 30p to send and so do ringtones. The rest of the prices will vary depending what talk plan that you are on.
I would conclude that the nokia 3210 is one of the best prepay phones on the market. It is extremely stylish and you can personalise it with different covers operator logos and ringtones. The best phone on the market by far.
