I have always been really impressed with Nokia, and always bought their phones. I previously owned the Nokia 3210 and was extremely impressed with its range of functions and features.
After looking at my friends 3310's I decided to purchase one of my own. I really didn’t think I'd be so impressed as I was, but Nokia have really put together a great phone.
The first thing that strikes you about the 3310 is its size! It's so small, compared to the 3210 and it fits neatly into the palm of your hand. It's an extremely compact phone that fits easily into a small handbag or pocket. The phone has the same keys and access to the different parts of its menu as all Nokia phones do. This is helpful for previous Nokia users.
The first function is being to actually make a call! But with the 3310 you don’t just have to look up the number in your 90 space address book you could always use the voice tag system, this way you only have to say to the phone a name, or who ever you have voice tagged and it will automatically ring that number! With voice tagging you record the tag and you must say exactly what you recorded or else the phone will not recognise the command. This function can be used for 8 numbers if you should want.
With the 3310 you can download 6 new ringtones (www.yourmobile.com is a very good free site!) or even compose your own by pressing certain keys on the keypad! Should you not wish to disturb everyone with your catchy little ring tone you can also put it on to discreet, which arms the vibro alert!
Text messaging, on the 3310 it has the predictive text like the 3210 so that makes text message composing a little bit quicker. Another function of the text messages is the ability to send the message to more than one user. So if you want to inform a number of people of the same thing you can send the message to all of them instead of having to send it one by one. There is also a picture messaging function and automatic smileys to personalise your text messages
The chat facility on the 3310 has the ability to send text messages similar to say using MSN messenger. I have not used this yet so I will update this once I have done so!
The 3310 have a reminder section that is very simple to use but make sure that you have actually set the clock and calendar first! Reminders can be set for any time in advance. You would obviously have to have the phone switched on to actually see the reminder icon flash up! This function can also be used with the alarm clock!
Extras include 3 games, a clock and date function, a stopwatch and a calculator. Accessories include the clip on Xpress covers, a hands free set, car recharging kit and a case for the phone!
I have now had this phone for a few weeks and have been very impressed with it. Well done Nokia!
ordable price! The integrated thermoswitch prevents overheating or overcharging and the polyswitch protects your rechargeable battery if anything short-circuits its contacts.
e generally 14 day returns that have been processed to ensure any scratched components have been replaced and the software reset. Get a classic and reliable handset with the Nokia 3310.
