I bought the 3510i in jan 2002 and by october 2002 had had 5 of them.
The fist one had tones that kept cutting out and needed the phone to be turned off and on again before starting again. (lasted 2 weeks)
The second had the same problem but also seemed to enjoy turning itself on and off randomly at the most inconvenient moments. (lasted 6 months)
Phone 3 had both of the above problems but also had the added bonus of it turning off and then never working again. (lasted 2 months)
Phone number four once agin tones cut out and random switching on and off. Also this phone arrived broken from VIRGIN MOBILE. (1 week)
Then finally phone 5 turned itself off permenantly after a whole 1 months service!!
So as you can imagine i was so happy. I had to get OFTEL and consumer advice involved before I could get my money back on the heap of crap (oh sorry, heapS!).
So 5 nokia 3510i phones in 9 months, it must be a record! I contacted nokia and they said it wasn't their problem. The fact they make the things is neither here nor there!
So avoid this phone like the plague and also consider avoiding the nokia:
3300 8310 3410 5100 (screen cracks even though phone treated with a lot of care)
as these all have similar problems, infact avoid nokia altogether. For a supposidly TOP NOTCH company they sure produce an awful lot of rubbish.

May be you should consider another mobile phone company, instead of getting 5 3510i's it would be better to just buy a new phone from a new company, lgray

Whoever said Nokia is a top notch company, and meant it, is a fool! Furthermore, I have given this review a 'very helpful' rating since you have taken a different approach to reviewing, that being listing the experiences you have had with the phone, which is actually what ciao is all about, moreover for those who say you need more info on the specs and features ect, dont listen to them, if i wanted more specs I'd visit the nokia website. VERY HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! take that everyone else lol

Advantages: A doddle to get the hang of, customisable, excellent battery life... Disadvantages: Only the one screensaver, naff ring tones, those flippin awful orange side panels...

Advantages: STORES up to 500 directory entries; multiple numbers, e-mail addresses and notes per entry Disadvantages: Couldn't answer phone before I lost the call. It took too long to charge phone.
