The Nokia 5110 has been praised since day one. Everyone thinks that this piece of machinery is great but the awful truth is that it isn't! Nokia's 5110 is to mobile phones, what Windows 95 is to Microsoft. An out-of-date product with so much hidden bugs and flaws that you would need the fingers and toes of most your friends to count them. Nokia say that 5110 is a reliable phone which can withstand most knocks and bumps, if only this was so. The battery on a lot of 5110s has become loose and will bang up and down if touched. This may not annoy most people (I didn't really mind) but it is when the power is cut off that it gets annoying - if the phone is carried around in a bag or even a pocket the battery can become loose and the connections become faulty. The hands free kit which can be used along with it is also useless. If it does work it crackells and breaks up more that without it. After a while there are some things which have happened to peoples 5110s, such as the ringing tone level not going over 2, the screen becoming distorted, and one on my friends phone the memory was all wiped after the phone was turned off - yes the SIM memory. In conclusion this phone has too much wrong with it, and there are too many phones out there, to consider it as a possibility.
