Nokia 5530 XpressMusic

Nokia I believe have slipped behind over the last few years compared to other major brands such as Sony Ericsson and HTC. In my opinion Nokia were always flying the flag for mobile phone brands but then they went downhill.

However, I think they have finally got their thinking caps on again.

The Nokia 5530, it’s nothing too technical, nothing too fancy just a nice easy, good-looking phone to have in your pocket.

When I first opened it I was instantly impressed with how it looked, its smart and innovative. To hold is perfect for me, its light, thin and just the right size.

I have the pink one which has a lovely pattern on the back for girly girls and a matching sleeve

I was impressed by the layout of the menus, not like Nokia's standard layout; it has been jazzed up a little but not overdone.

I like the fact it concentrates a lot on email on the home page as email is the new text messaging. But you have the option to switch that off on your home page. Personally I kept it on. The menus are really easy to navigate through and there is a range of theme's and colours to choose from.

The phone has handwriting recognition and a QWERTY keyboard. There are a range of applications and I think Nokia have done really well with this one.
