I've had this phone for a year and a half now. With the phone world being overtaken by Android bots, this phone is still commanding a decent second-hand value. This phone is almost unbeatable for its value. It has a very responsive resistive, clear touch screen, rarely freezes and has Nokia's trademark user-friendly interface. Wifi is fast and connectivity is good. Battery lasts up to 2 days or more on average use, that is, with 10 min phone calls, light internet surfing up to half hour and a few messages texting. As with most Nokia phones, call quality and reception is good. I have not experienced any dropped calls all this time.
The biggest bonus here is the excellent music player that is on par with the ipod's. Just plug in a pair of good Sennheisers for example and you'd be amazed.
The only weakness is that the camera is nothing to rave about but is ok for shots in sufficient light. It may have been slower out of the box new but once I upgraded to the latest firmware, the phone has been more responsive overall, particularly the sensor rotation to landscape and back.
The 5530 will not disappoint anyone looking for a great bargain of a phone, more so if you able to instal additional applications on it like Opera Mini. I found the in-built phone browser less user friendly as zooming in and out when viewing pages was a tad tedious. The browser does not seem to have a mobile view where the text is wrapped to fit the screen, like Opera Mini.
