This is a Symbian S60 smartphone which means that the 5630 XpressMusic has a fair degree of flexibility when it comes to software. There are lots of tools for sharing files accessing mail and the latest version of S60 allows for a personalised homescreen and various other customisations. As we mentioned before the 5630 XpressMusic also supports N-Gage gaming and it comes with a range of pre-installed "Try & Buy" games. Supported media formats including MP3 WMA and various AAC files plus MPEG4 3GP H.263 H.264 and RealVideo video clips. The 5630 XpressMusic has a 3.5mm socket allowing a standard headset to be used with the phone. The 5630 also has an FM radio and support for stereo Bluetooth. There will also be a "Comes with Music" version of the 5630 allowing for unlimited music downloads. The 5630 also sports dedicated media playback keys to the left of the screen. The camera is a 3.2 megapixel unit with a dual LED flash. Nokia say that the camera is "Full Focus" which we take as meaning "fixed focus". Video capture resolution is a 640 x 480 pixels at 15 frames per second. Underneath this is a quad-band GSM phone with 900 / 2100 MHz WCDMA. The 5630 supports HSDPA high-speed downloads (up to 10.2 Mbps) HSUPA uploads (up to 2.0 Mbps) and of course standard UMTS plus GPRS and EDGE data. The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a phone that is very, very good. It is the first phone from Nokia that is a touch phone and yet, in my opinion, they have nearly perfected it. It comes with all the software in the box wich allows you to connect your phone to the computer and easily transfer anything you want. It has a dedicated multimedia bar that lets you access music, videos, web, sharing centre, and pictures all in two presses. The input methods are really good and there are four varieties you can choose from. The web browser is slightyly harder to use but still good and it is highly customizable. Unfortunately, with everything that is great in life there are always some bad things. In this phone there are only two: the camera and the reaction speeds of the turning sensor and touch. ...
Advantages: touch screen, camera, connection quality, battery life... Disadvantages: does not come with many games, but you may add more if necessary.
I have recently purchased this particular model from my local 02 shop, and compared with mobile phones i've had in the past, this one stands tall against the rest.
I have found that this sleek, stylish phone is extremely easy to use, without any fuss. The touch screen allows you to play about with the various features such as the Camera&Video application, as well as hundreds of other features you can purchase online.
I have had this particular phone for just over 4 months now and have already had 3 other friends requesting the exact same phone for their birthday's e.c.t..
Overall, i believe that the 5800 XpressMusicNokia phone is juist as good, if not better than the iphone or an ipod touch... due to its smaller compact, lighter feel and sytlish design... not to mention its excellent range of features on the interior. ...
