As an extensive traveller in the field of IT, a phone which can integrate well with contacts, appointments and internet usage with a laptop is a must. After having to struggle with a 5110 my next choice had to be the fabulous looking 6210 (compatability with my old hands free car kit was a major factor too!). Getting to grips with this well-featured phone was little trouble, as Nokias in general i would say are well ahead in terms of user interface design.
Here-in I encountered my first gripe, the display appeared to be several key presses behind when navigating quickly through the menu system. Although this is not the most serious of 'features', i did at first presume that the phone itself must be faulty in some way. Nokia have since informed me it is due to how the phone software itself works.
Eager to test the improved infrared communication speeds, i was soon using my phone as a modem to access emails and the internet. And synchronising appointments and contacts with the pc is a breeze. All in all the infrared features are by far the strongest asset of this phone, no cables are needed for any of the pc to phone (and vice versa) operations that i perform on a daily basis.
The dictionary included on the phone was the next new toy i wished to play with, and generally it is quite impressive. Rare it is i have found a need to add words and it does appear that it is quicker to type messages. But this is where i think there is another failing, adding symbols or numbers to messages is a litlle tedious when compared to the simpler less elegant 5110.
Finally i must also complain about the antenna, being internal it does put an end to the odd stabbing when worn on a belt but it causes a sometimes alarmingly loud buzzing during calls if used in conjunction with the non-Nokia recommended leather cases (the metal clip i believe interferes with it). I would not use a case but for the failing that i regularly have a tendancy to drop the phone! And it is a shame to have scratches on such a sleek looking thing.
Overall i am very pleased with the phone even with the little niggles, as it is an invaluable aid to my particular line of work. It looks great, is easy to use and has a comprehensive list of useful (!) features. A job well done.

I like the username, very apt! I agree with the other comments that line breaks would help a lot. What I find useful is to type the text in Word and then copy and paste it across when its been spell checked and everything else. Great first op, welcome to ciao

Hi and welcome to Ciao. You have usefully covered the distinctive points of this handset and the only minor niggles (with the review) relate to layout. As others have already noted, you would be better off spacing your paragraphs better. My personal bugbear relates to the use of the personal pronoun; it is correctly expressed as 'I' rather than 'i'. Good luck, Paul.

Hi! That was a very good first op, but it's much easier to read in sections - all the text blurs if it's in one big chuck. Hope you enjoy reading rating and writing here... Anna
