Advantages Rock Solid, Good for Action People

Disadvantages Heavy

Another new release from the leaders in mobile phone style, the Nokia 6250, is made for those who work in the great outdoors!

Here is a mobile phone that can be handled without care. Built tough from the inside out, the sturdy looking Nokia 6250 is specifically designed for outdoor professionals and enthusiasts.

Dust, shock and water resistant, tradespeople can put their faith in the phone that claims to be able to survive a fall of up to three metres, not to mention being temporarily immersed in extreme hot water.

Remarkably easy to use, the benefits of the 6250 do not solely rest on its tough exterior. It offers a variety of features which aim at making the working day much more simple.

The task journal feature allows you to keep track of working times, costs, staff wages and materials used without the need of a pen and paper. The stored information can then be transferred to other compatible phones or to a PC which can later be used for invoicing.

Keeping in mind the outdoor theme, automatic volume control allows you to adjust the earpiece volume to suit the environment you are in and the sound level meter (dB representation) can provide an estimate of background environment noise.

The WAP terminal provides you with a wide range of Wireless Internet Services and applications such as e-mail, weather reports, breaking news and lots more.

Other features include a large high resolution LCD and an easy to navigate keypad, although this all comes at a cost as it proves to be quite bulky in shape and weighs in at a hefty 174g

The 6250, available now in store, is powered by a 1200 mAh Li-Ion internal battery with a talk time of up to 3 hours and 15 minutes and a stand-by time of 72-336 hours. Talk time, however, is dependent on the network conditions, usage and your SIM card.
